Achievement 2 @lovveday Task : Basic Security on Steem

When you are secure, you are safe. With this I will like to thank @cryptokannon for this beautiful lecture on the basic security on steem. The purpose of the post was accomplished to me, I learnt from it.

I read @kiwiscanfly post on Understanding your Steemit wallet & Powering up and I got to know how to power up on steem

Question 1
Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

Answer: Yes I have,

with the password I got when I initially opened the account, called the master key. I used it to login to my Steemit wallet and revealed all the keys and downloaded an offline copy of it.

Question2
Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

The master key is used in the account recover all other keys

Answer: yes I do.

Posting Key functions
Use your Posting Key to:

•Publish a post or comment
•Edit a post or comment
•Upvote or downvote
•Resteem content
•Follow people
•Mute accounts

Restrictions to the posting key;

•It restricted alone to socialize nothing else.
•It can't be used in place of the active key
•It can't be used in place of the owner key neither the memo key

Active Key functions
Use your Active Key to:

•Transfer tokens
•Power STEEM up or down
•SBD conversion
•Vote for witnesses
•Place an order on an exchange
•Certain profile changes
•Publish a Witness price feed
•Create a new user

Restrictions:

•It can't be used in place of the posting key
•Without this key you can't access your tokens
•It can't be used in place of the owner key neither the master key

Owner Key functions
Use your Owner Key to:

•Reset Owner, Active, and Posting keys
•Recover your account
•Decline voting rights

Restrictions;

•The permission above will be restricted without the owner key
•It can't be used in place of the posting key
•It can't be used in place of the master key, active key neither the posting key

Memo Key functions
Use your Memo Key to:

•Send an encrypted message
•View an encrypted message

Restrictions;

•It can't be used in place of the:
posting key,
The owner key,
The active key.

Question 3
How do you plan to keep your master password?

I plan to keep my master password, print it on a piece of paper and keep it among my important files in my room where no one can easily gain access to it.

I also plan to keep an offline line copy of it in my Google drive. And my gmail in case I exchange my phone.

Question 4
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

I don't have full knowledge of that through it not mentioned in the lectures but I know it require the permission of the active key

Question 5
Do you know how to power up your STEEM? Yes I do.

According to @kiwiscanfly i will login to my Steemit wallet I will look for steam power it after steem and before steem backed dollars I will click on the drop down and click on power up it will take me to a page where I can power up my steem power, I can choose the figures I want to power up, or I can just click on power up if I want to exchange all the token for power up, and in the next minute my steem power will increase.
