Hey guys,
So today i will be writing about the various keys on steemit, as we all know, upon signing up on steemit, some keys are been given, which i have also received.

MASTER PASSWORD
The master password is the password that you get upon signing up, thats after the registeration. It is used to generate all other keys, this should be kept safe, as it can be used to access an account.

OWNERS KEY
The owner key is the most powerful key, it can change any key of an account including the owner key. It is very important that this key is kept safe because it can be used to recover a compromised account.

ACTIVE KEY
The active key is used for some sensitive task like transferring funds, power up/down transactions, converting Steem Dollars, Voting for witnesses etc.

POSTING KEY
The posting key is the key most users use to log into steemit everyday and this key allows an account to post, comment, edit, vote, resteem and follow or mute other accounts.

MEMO KEY
The memo key is used for encrypting and decrypting memos when transferring funds.

It is very important that these keys are stored properly because an account might not be recovered if the most important keys are lost and also these keys should not be accessed by a third party account.

I have practiced the transfer of funds to another user using my active key and i have also practiced how to create memo for transfer.

First i logged into my wallet and clicked on the steem dollar drop down arrow, next i clicked on transfer and then input the username of the person i want to transfer to. Lastly i create a memo, submit and confirm with my active key.
