Achievement 3 || Task Content Etiquette by @khanwarda

Hello dear steemit friends I am very happy to be sharing with you and for helping me verify my first achievements, today I want to start with my achievement 3 so-called content protocol which is important to avoid plagiarism in our steemit publications.

source

Plagiarism is imitating, stealing or placing images or texts without any authorization from the original author and placing the content as their own, this is a crime and many internet platforms are not tolerated to place stolen content.

Many times people do this kind of thing because they do not have their own ideas or because their contgenidos are not taken into account, leading them to commit this type of thing. wikepedia says:

If you suspect a copyright violation, but are uncertain if the content is copyrighted or whether the external site is copying from Wikipedia, you should at least bring up the issue on that page's discussion pagesource

types of plagiarism

Mosaic or patchwork plagiarism

With this type of plagiarism, the work of someone else is simply paraphrased without proper citation. It’s often difficult to detect because the plagiarized material is interwoven with many different sources, including the writer’s own ideas and perspective. source

Paraphrasing plagiarism

Paraphrasing, or incremental plagiarism, is the most common type of plagiarism. It’s similar to the mosaic plagiarism style mentioned above. However, the difference is that the copied work isn’t mixed in with new concepts and research. When you paraphrase the original idea in your own words, the borrowed material stays the same throughout the new piece.source

Complete plagiarism

Complete plagiarism is more common in academic writing than in content marketing or other types of online writing. This type of plagiarism occurs when someone tries to submit an entire research paper as their own without proper attribution.source

Self-plagiarism

Also known as auto-plagiarism, self-plagiarism happens when you copy your own writing, whether intentional or not. Often the person in a self-plagiarism incident is summarizing or repurposing their own work instead of writing a whole new piece from scratch on the same topic. source

Can we copy text or images from another source that you do not own?

Steemit does not allow you to place stolen content, this is recognized on the platform as plagiarism and on many occasions when this type of act is committed several times you can lose our steemit account.

The only way for us to place a text or image from the internet that we like is by quoting and placing the sources of the original author I urge to cite sources with the guide of achievements there they tell us that it is not enough for us to mention that the source is from wikipedia or another page to make it correct you must place the sentence in quotation marks, this helps to give a merit to the author and thus be able to have quality publications.

Quoting a text is very easy, the correct way is to place this sign > followed by a space and a small text in quotation marks that we want to highlight in our publication, then add the source of the original text and it will be like this:

Plagiarism is the representation of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work. In educational contexts, there are differing definitions of plagiarism depending on the institution. Plagiarism is considered a violation of academic integrity and a breach of journalistic ethics. source

How should we place the fonts?

I learned to place the sources with the guide of achievement3, I found it very easy because it is with a very simple formula that I will share with you:

If we want to have quality publications we must say NO to Plagiarism, and start letting our ideas flow to share them in steemit correctly and out of plagiarism.
