Achievement 6 Task by @kennydavebobo: Understanding Curation and Community

How is your day going?. I am privileged to resume back on the course of writing my Achievement tasks, this is the going to be my achievement 6 post and I hope you will enjoy reading it.

Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?Absolutely YES!. Having gone through the article by @cryptokannon I now understand that there is a fixed reward pool on steem, when good content is voted by a user, reward will be distributed which depends on the Steem power of the user where 50% of the payout goes to the author of the post/comment and 50% goes to the curator as well. Out of the 50% that goes to the curator, the curator will receive less than 100% if the curator votes within the first 5 minutes. The portion of the 50% that the curator receives during the first 5 minutes is calculated based on the time the vote is casted. Also If a post is upvoted after 5 minutes of posting/commenting, 100% of the curation reward goes to the curator. Also there is no curation reward for downvoting a post/comment.

Voting mana is the energy bar that represents your voting influence which is rated in percentage, it is maximum at 100% which goes down a little bit every time you vote, the network recharges your voting mana by 20% every day.

curation trails
When a user get automatically voting on his/her posts/comments, these "other users" are called Curation trail it is possible by the use of a third party applications such as steemauto.com to automatically cast votes.

What happened if you vote a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?The time of casting a votes drastically determines the percentage curator's reward out of the 50%. Below is the break down of curator's reward if voted before 5 minutes marks.
• If the curator upvotes the moment at (0 minutes) the post/comment was posted, the curator will receive 0% of curation reward and 100% goes to the rewards pool.
• If the curator upvotes a (1) minute after the post/comment was posted, the curator will receive 20% of curation reward and 80% goes to the rewards pool.
• If the curator upvotes 2 minutes after the post/comment was posted, the curator will receive 40% of curation reward and 60% goes to the rewards pool.
• If the curator upvotes 3 minutes after the post/comment was posted, the curator will receive 60% of curation reward and 40% goes to the rewards pool.
• If the curator upvotes 4 minutes after the post/comment was posted, the curator will receive 80% of curation reward and 20% goes to the rewards pool.
But if the curator upvotes 5 minutes or later after the post/comment was posted, the curator receives 100% of the curation reward.

Who will you vote for Steem Witness ? and Why?I would definitely vote for Steem Witness because they are assigned to act as the network's block producers and governance body, producing block every 63-second round and by voting for them is a way to push the witness up in the rank of top 21 witnesses.
I know quite a few witness for example, @justyy built steemyy.com , @steemchiller built Steemworld.org.

Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?Thanks to @ngoenyi and all Steem greeters that have been a grate help in directing me on which community is best to join. I have joined quite a few community like
• Newcomers Community : A community where all newbies are welcomed. The is the community for completing the Achievement tasks to know more about stremit.
• Steemalive Community: In this community I got to learn a lot about varieties of topics, participate in variety of contests, post my diary game etc.
Others Community I would love to join
I will join community that have the taste of my intrest and descriptions, I would love to join
SteemCryptoAcademy community where I can learn more on Crypto currency.

I'm happy I have digested how Author and curation rewards works and to know more about other fascinating
communities to join.
