It feels super excited to write again and make my achievement 3 post on content etiquette. After thoroughly going through the materials, equipments and resources , I can boldly do the task necessitated of me.

                            PLAGIARISM 

Plagiarism is simply the act of converting someone else's work, research and ideas as your own without making little or no reference to the original author.
Researches such as thesis, project works, articles, documents, manuscripts and assignments can be plagiarised. This practice is illegitimate and as such can result in several damages.
Meanwhile, the goal of plagiarist is to give the people a false blueprint of them being the author of the work.

                   TYPES  OF PLAGIARISM 

There are 6 basic types of plagiarism. They are,

1. SELF PLAGIARISM : Self plagiarism occurs when a set of text, phrases and ideas are repeated continuously from your own previously published work.

2. VERBATIM PLAGIARISM : This involves copying part of phrases and ideas without citation.

3. INCREMENTAL PLAGIARISM : This occurs when you directly copy contents of other people's work into your own project work without making reference to the original source.

PARAPHRASING PLAGIARISM :
This occurs when you format and reword someone else's idea without proper citation.

GLOBAL PLAGIARISM : This occurs when you directly insert a full text of someone else's work as your own.

PATCHWORK PLAGIARISM :
This occurs when you add both texts and ideas of different authors without citation.

          CONSEQUENCES  OF PLAGIARISM 

Plagiarism is very inimical because, It has the tendency to reduce the proficiency and professionalism of an author. Your work is graded in a scale of high professionalism when the plagiarism content is zero percent. Plagiarism is also inimical because, it ruins the reputation and integrity of the author involved.
Therefore, it is advisable as an aspiring professional author never to engage in plagiarism.

           HOW  CAN I AVOID PLAGIARISM 

1. PARAPHRASE : It is very mandatory you regulate your written work by using unique word totally different from that of the source. This adjustments reflects the superiority and originality of the work.

2. USE CITATIONS CONSISTENTLY : Always involve citation in your written work. This citation must basically include the full name of the source and the dates wherein the article was published.

1. INCLUDE QUOTATIONS : Always ensure text and ideas of the original author are well quoted in your work. Always make good use of quotation marks.

1. USE PLAGIARISM CHECKER : Plagiarism checker always help you detect and regulate the level of plagiarism in your work. You must ensure it is used consistently.

1. PRESENT YOUR OWN IDEA : Try and come up with new ideas and articles as it helps your content looks unique, professional and original .

                            CONCLUSION
