Achievement2@harddrive Task: Basic Security on Steem

Hello Steemians.Once again it's me @harddrive, and it is my pleasure writing to y'all this evening, as we discuss on Basic Security on Steem.
Before diving into the questions(which anyone who has completed #achievement2 task should know), it is important that we have a general notion of security. What is security? Security refers to the various methods used to protect one's assets. Applying this definition to our steem community, we will view security in the light of protecting our various keys

Question 1: Have you retrieved all your keys?

Definitely, this is the first thing I did after completing my registration on Steemit. I retrieved my various keys using my master password. The various keys are: Posting key, Active key, Memo key, Owner key, and of course Master Password.

Question 2: Do you know each of these keys' functions and restrictions?

Easy as abc. Just read below

1. Posting Key: This is the most used key, as it involves day to day activities such as posting, commenting, upvoting, resteeming, following other accounts blah blah blah. Number of everyday logins that can be done by this key are restricted, so as to minimize damage in case this jey is compromised.
2. Active Key: This key has higher permissions as compared to the Posting key. With this key, a Steemian can power up and power down, transfer funds to another account, changing account details and photo. Other Steemit financial transactions can be performed with this key.
3. Memo Key: You know when you're sending funds to someone, then you stick a little side note in the package, but afraid someone else would read it, so you have to find a way to secure it so that only the recipient can open it; This is how the Memo key works-encrypt and decrypt a memo when transferring funds. A pound sign is usually inserted before the message.
4. Owner Key: Just like the rich Baron with a lot of power and influence, so is the owner key. With this key, the other aforementioned keys can be changed. If you take to instructions and guard your other keys jealousy, chances are that you may never need to use the Owner key.
5. Master Password : The master Password is used to generate other keys. After signup, you may never need to use this key again. However, it will do you no harm to spare 2 minutes of your time and store this key in an offline backup-preferably write and keep somewhere safe.

Question 3: How do you plan to keep your Master Password.

Let me jog your memory a little....as a kid, you wanted something so much from your mum. After months of promising she finally bought it for you. Do you remember how jealousy you guarded it?? Good, cause that's how I plan to safeguard my Master key. I've made an offline backup of my master key, and stored it somewhere very safe

Question 4: Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

are all questions this easy!!
Here's the process
Login to steemitwallet.com

Click to small arrow close to your STEEM balance. Click on Transfer

Insert the @username you want to transfer STEEM to. Also enter amount. Then click on “next” and in less than no time the transaction should be completed

Question 5: Do you know how to Power Up your STEEM?

Power Up means converting your STEEM to STEEM POWER (SP). With more Steem Power, your overall stake increases. You earn more, allowed to carry out more activities too. Think of it as an investment.
To Power Up, first of all login to steemit wallet, then click on wallet at top right. This will show you all your available balances.

On the line that shows your STEEM balance, click the small arrow and click “Power Up”. On the page that follows enter how much STEEM you want to power up and continue. In a moment you should see an increase in STEEM POWER balance.
