Welcome to my achievement 6 task. In this task i will be reviewing curation and community in this wonderful platform, am happy that I have come this far, join me as i review the task based on the following questions;

QUESTION 1

Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?

Going through this task i have been made to understand that there is fixed reward pool in steem when you post a quality content, and this is done in such a way that rewards are allocated, and 50% of the payout goes to the author of the post/comment, and 50% goes to the curator. Distribution of rewards is by the amount of SP one has, the higher the amount of steem the higher the reward pool you will be able to distribute from the reward pool.

Voting has to do with a voting manner, new users can only vote with 100% voting strength, once you reach 500SP you will have access to a voting slider which will enable you adjust your voting strength. Every 100% vote you cast will use 2% of your remaining voting mana, which the network recharges everyday by 20%.

QUESTION 2

What happened if you vote a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?

If a post is upvoted the moment of posting, 100% of the curation reward will remain in the rewards pool.
At 1 minute, the curator receives 20%, and 80% remains in the rewards pool.
At 2 minutes, the curator receives 40%, and 60% remains in the rewards pool.
At 3 minutes, the curator receives 60%, and 40% remains in the rewards pool.
At 4 minutes, the curator receives 80%, and 20% remains in the rewards pool.
If a post is upvoted 5 minutes (or later) after posting, 100% of the curation reward goes to the curator.

QUESTION 3

Who will you vote for Steem Witness ? and Why?
I will vote for @steemchiller for his immense creativity and contribution in the blockchain community by coming up with Steemworld.org, its quite commendable.

QUESTION 4

Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?
As a newbie, despite i have already joined some communities i will like to join PROJECT HOPE because am interested in knowing more about blockchain, technology and cybrsecurity.
