Achievement 2: BASIC SECURITY ON STEEMIT written by @fonzi

Good morning my wonderful people of steemit! I hope you are all doing good.I am so glad to proceed with my next achievement after being verified on the first achievement by our steem coordinator by @ngoenyi.

Below Is the highlight of what I understand through this achievement...

BASIC SECURITY ON STEEMIT

WHAT IS SECURITY

Security: Can simply be seen as protection or guard of valuable things, secrets against danger,exposure or being lost.

And In steemit, we have different types of securities (keys) that helps the users in protecting their valuables in the steemit and also keeps them the owner of their account.
The keys are as follows:

Posting key
Active key
Owner key
Memo key

Therefore, Follow along as I will like to explain the uses of each key to my own understanding...

POSTING KEY

This key as the name implies, is used in publishing a post or comment,to also edit a post or comment, to upvote or downvote, to resteem content(re_sharing of post),and to follow other users on Steemit.

ACTIVE KEY

I will be using this key 🗝️🗝️🗝️ (Active Key) in Transferring tokens,Power STEEM up or down,Voting for witnesses, Placing order on an exchange,also profile changing,in publishing a Witness price feed and to Create a new user.

OWNER KEY

The Owner Key is used in Resetting Owner, Active, and Posting keys, to Recover all your account, and also used in Declining the voting rights.

MEMO KEY

In Memo key, it's used in sending an encrypted messagese (secured informations) and in viewing an encrypted message.

MASTER KEY

According to the name (Master), It's the overall key, it is the most important key and the first key being given to the users to derive all the keys (mentioned above) for their account. Just as the key implies master key, it controls the whole account in Steemit.

HOW I SAVED MY STEEMIT KEYS?

Upon Signing Up on Steemit, I downloaded the PDF containing my STEEMIT KEYS, I backed it up using Google drive and also made a copy of it (written) and kept it safe out of strangers.

HOW TO TRANSFER STEEM TO ANOTHER'S ACCOUNT.

After I signed in to My wallet account, I now click on the profile page.....
Then here's the steps I follow....
Step 1. Login to your steem account using your
username and posting key
Step 2. Click on your image at top right,
Step 3. You click on your STEEM wallet where it will take you to your wallet account.

Step 4. Then go to your STEEM wallet, then click on the small arrow beside the Steem balance and then select transfer(among the options listed)

Step 5. Put the name of the user you want to transfer to, then the amount you want to transfer and confirm it.Then you are good.

Step 6. Then put the amount

Step 7. Click on next

HOW TO POWER UP

Through this achievement, I learnt that Liquid STEEM can be transferred to SP (i.e STEEM power) This very process is called POWER UP.
You will go to your wallet then click on STEEM, then options will be listed for you, Then you click on power up

Type in the amount in the box provided, and

then Click power up.

and then your Steem will convert into steem power and this process is known as POWERING UP (SP). Which gives you larger influence in steemit, and the more power you have, the more beneficial you become on steemit.

IN CONCLUSION,

I Just know that the more I secure my account here, the safer my account will become and also I save my KEYS in places I can always retrieve them, because the key is what keeps you in control of someone's account and the earnings.
