INTRODUCTION

My name is Fatima Saleem Baig and I am 22 years old residing in Karachi, Pakistan.

A T.M.I regarding my username @fatsalba ; it's basically my full name shortened up. I came up with it when I was 10 and I found it pretty cool and it just stuck with me since then.

HOW AM I HERE

I was introduced to this platform by @salemumar5 who is a good friend of mine and he gave me the opportunity to learn and earn.

EDUCATION

When it comes to my schooling, I have experienced three different learning atmospheres starting with 4 years in a British school, moving on to an Indian school for my middle schooling years (3rd grade-7th grade) and then finally moving to a Pakistani school where I graduated from high school. I wasn't what you call a bright student but I still managed to pass my Intermediated in Commerce with an A1 grade (equivalent to 80%). Growing up I was pretty much a shy kid and wasn't much into public speaking and such. I would rather spend my time reading novel and comics. I participated in many sports competitions with my throw ball skills being the most prominent.

I've received four medals, all for my participation in athletic activities. I've received a gold and a bronze medal for my relay races and a silver and bronze medal for throw ball. I played both as a server and a libero for our school's official throw ball team.

I am currently in my third year of BBA specializing in Human Resource Management at a private university in Karachi, Pakistan.

MY HOBBIES AND INTERESTS

Since childhood, I have been an avid reader and that is the only hobby that's stayed with me for all my life. Reading has helped me through many ups and downs due to which I hold my books very dear to my heart. Genres that peak my interest are sci/fi, romance, fantasy and domestic fiction.

As any other teenager, I, in my teens was obsessed with music particularly K-Pop. To me, language was never a problem which was also why I loved watching K-Dramas. I also enjoy drawing and journaling in my leisure time. Now that I am no more a teen, my interest in music has changed a lot as I turned towards Western Pop. I am also a devoted fan of Marvel (was introduced through my love for comics).

As my city announced lockdown, I found myself watching Anime and reading Manga. I love watching anime of any genre with Shonen being my most favorite. Along with that I also enjoy cooking and eating.

MY FAMILY

I am the oldest of four having 2 younger sisters and a brother. I share a special bond with my siblings who bring happiness to my life. I have been raised by two very loving and supportive parents who are everything to me. My father runs a business in Dubai whereas my mother is a home maker. My parents nurtured us into the beings we are today and I can't be grateful enough.

Being raised in a foreign country has made me both knowledgeable and adaptable to many cultures. I try to keep myself mindful of issues happening around the world and I find it a rightful duty of mine to raise voice and create awareness about it.

After being introduced to this platform, I acquainted myself with the etiquettes on how to carry myself for this forum and I find myself to be a pretty good fit. This post by @steem.history has been very helpful.
