Hi steemians I am glad to have made it this far, having my achievement 3 verified. In this achievement4 post I want to show my understanding of markdown on the steemit platform.

Markdown

Markdowns are used to style our contents and arrange them in a readable and convincing manner .
Below are few markdown styles used in steemit.

1. Headers

We use the hash (#) tag to create different headers, the more the number of hash tags we have the smaller the header. The headers are created by adding the hash symbol and a space before the header. to apply the headers we use this:

2. Center texts

Center texts are very important in content writing. We can center topics or sub topics to make our writeup beautiful. We use this:

3. Line breaks

Sometimes it is important to add line breaks to our write-ups and to achieve this we use the < br> tag.

4.Italics and Strike

To apply the italics and strike we use the following tags to achieve it.

5.Tables

Tables are very vital in write-ups where items should be arranged side-by-side to achieve this we use this:

6.Writing Quotes

For proper referencing, we use quotes in content writing.
To write a quote we add the greater than symbol > in front of the text.
