Introducing Myself - Another beginning on Steemit

Hello Steemians,

Hope you'll are doing great. I live in the city of Guwahati, India. @brahmaputra is my username and this is my introductory post. I am a graduate Civil Engineer by qualification; in my spare time, I like to keep myself engaged with the digital world. You can call me Manas.

I heard about #Steemit back in 2017, when one of my friends called me and described about this platform (which could do wonders he said). He also said that one of his mates had earned around $200 writing blogs here. I was like, what is it, how does it work? How can I make money? Tell me the shortest way possible.

After 6 months of trying and testing everything, I was exhausted. That was that. Back then, you had to wait for about 24 hours to get your passwords would be delivered to you via email after creating your account.

A couple of days ago, suddenly out of nowhere I remembered about #Steemit. I tried logging in to my previous account but failed. So, I thought about starting afresh, try to understand the platform better, getting familiar with the community members, participate in the contests and create best possible contents. The last 3 years of my life has taught me that Perseverance is the key.

The year 2020 was horrific for the entire human race. Irrespective of whoever was at fault, it showed us that nature is the ultimate authority on planet Earth. I would consider it as a lucky escape for mankind and reckon we should be prepared to face more of such havocs. I would like to add a quote by Mahatma Gandhi here, that -- "The world has enough for every man's need, but not for every man's greed." Let's not dive deep into this any further. ☺️

What shall I post? I would mainly try to keep it simple, informative, also take you through the lenses of my day-to-day journey, from food, travel, art, academics. I will make sure I don't post junk just for the sake of posting. For the first few days, I hope I can do my best and give back to the community that has devoted so much time and energy to keep it active.

As of now, I have no mutual contact whom I know on #Steemit. Having said that, I would like to connect with my fellow Indian Steemians and Indian communities here.

About the name: I decided to chose the username @brahmaputra in honour of the mighty river that serves as the lifeline of Assam.
