PLAGIARISM

Plagiarism is simply the act of using ones idea as yours without giving the least credit to the writer or creator.
But in more precise terms; text from dictionary citing the source.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

MOSAIC OR PATCHWORK PLAGIARISM

Mosaic plagiarism is the act of paraphrasing ones work without giving any form of credit, it is done by mixing creative work with plagiarised work.
For example copying a sentence in an author's words and attaching it to your work making it look like yours, and so making it difficult to identify most of the time.

PARAPHRASING PLAGIARISM

This is actually similar to Mosaic plagiarism,but with a major difference that this isn't actually merged with creative work. It is a case where the plagiarised work isn't modified in anyway but kept the same.

COMPLETE PLAGIARISM

This is a case where a whole work is copied and used as ones original work. It is common with students who copy a research online work and pass it out as theirs to their supervisors or tutors.
If used with marketing strategies,it may cause a huge disaster.

SELF-PLAGIARISM

Although most people don't consider it as plagiarism,it still is.
This is a case where an author copies his or her own work and uses it for another work, this causes a lot of business downfall since they are accused of fraud.
An example is a when a website developer who is designing websites for another company, copies his previous coding and applies it to the recent.

ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM

This may seem unusual but it happens anyway, this is a form of plagiarism where someone intends to make a reference for his or her copied text but just forgets to and falls victim of being accused as a pirate.

SOURCE-BASED PLAGIARISM

This has to do with giving a wrong sourcing of where you got your copied material. It is sometimes accidental especially in a case where the wrong source is cited for a particular text or picture. This also is seen where amongst 2 pictures just one is cited.

DIRECT OR VERBATIM PLAGIARISM

This the most straight forward,intentional, and unethical form of plagiarism. Here the pirate, also known as the one stealing content copies and paste every work done by another author, and takes all the credit for it.

OTHER ETIQUETTES ON STEEMIT...

Other etiquettes on the steemit community which are not allowed include;

Spamming..

Which is unnecessary posts on the platform which don't offer any form of info and also acts as an advertisement for your products.

Over posting..

This is when one puts up so many posts, which tend to bore their followers and fill up their notifications

Begging for votes..

This is when a writer demands for upvotes from his/her friends in the comments.

HOW TO CREATE UNPLAGIARISED POST

To free your post from plagiarised content or from looking plagiarised,it is advised that content writers, bloggers,and author's use citing tools such sourcing codes, inputting links of reference to the copied post.
Here are some sourcing codes and processes of inputting links of reference to your copied content.
For image sourcing use the following;
[Source](actual link of the image)
This is done immediately under the image posted.

For content sourcing, we can either use the same method above or use the (>)markdown or (**), for the latter it should be placed before and after writing the content.
Thanks for taking time to reading.
