Rice crop is also one of the major crops of Pakistan. Good quality of this crop is also exported. This crop is mostly a crop of rainfed areas, but plains and dry areas are also cultivating it by using groundwater. Many research centers have also been set up to produce good and sufficient quantity of this crop.

Pakistan is one of the few countries in the world whose economy is mostly dependent on agriculture. The major crops of Pakistan are maize, rice and wheat. Maize is a crop in which Pakistan is self-sufficient and also sells it abroad. Maize is one of the crops that can be cultivated two to three times in a year, so the cultivation of this crop is preferred over other crops.
