Hello guys, today I am here to share a little about markdowns. The use of markdowns are very important to one’s work, it helps to make your content more readable and clear. And it can also make your post attractive to read. In short, it makes presentation of your content very nice to read.

Applying Markdowns

There are several ways of applying markdowns to your post. One of the basics are making texts italics, bold or both italics and bold

• To make a text italics place your text in between 2 “*” or 2 “_”key without leaving a space between the text and the * key
  For example typing

*Italics* or _Italics_

will show Italics

• To make a text bold, put the text in between a 2 double “**”. For example

**Bold**

Will give Bold

• To make a text both Italics and bold you will combine the 2 codes for making italics and bold. For example;

_**Italics and Bold**_

Will show Italics and Bold

Applying headings

To apply headings, you need to put # and give a space before you start typing your heading. You can choose to add more # and adding more # will reduce the size of the headings. For example

How to Quote

To quote exactly what someone said or an information from a source, all you need to do is to start the quoted sentence with “>”
For example

How to center a text

To center a text you will use the code below:

It will display:

Adding Tables

The code below is used to add tables to your post. It is mostly used to differentiate one item from the other:

Adding Links

The code below is used to add links to your post and this is mostly used to direct readers to a source you obtained an image or information. I will demonstrate it by adding the source to an image I obtained.

This can be obtained by using the below code. You can choose to write anything in place of the “source”, for example you can choose to write the name of the website.
