Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?

Voting on the steemit is of two types, upvotes and downvotes, upvotes mean that you like that post and downvotes when you don't like that post for any reason. It is a good practice to let the creator of the post know why you disliked that post and add some words of appreciation when you like it.
Curation is the reward distribution after the payout of a post which you have upvoted. Once a user 100% upvotes a post their voting power is decreased by 2%. Which will be automatically recharged 20% in a day.
Curation rewards are the rewards given to a user for the upvotes they give on other user's posts or comments. Up to 25% of the total reward of the post goes to the curators. The exact percentage is determined on the basis of the time after which curator voted on post after publication. If curator voted after first 30 minutes of publication then he/she will receive full 25% of curation. And if curator voted within 30 minutes of post then a percentage is given to author (they will receive less than 25%)
Example: If a curator votes exactly after exactly 15 minutes then he/she will receive 12.5% curation reward of his/her vote value.

What happened if you vote a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?

When a post is voted within first 5 minutes after a post is made, curator will get 100% of the reward but the author gets nothing for that.

As after reading @steemchiller post https://steemit.com/witness-category/@steemchiller/steemchiller-goes-witness-let-s-make-steem-safe-again i found him potential and loyal toward Steemit and concerned about its security and the reason of voting @justyy is that because in a review post of https://steemyy.com/ i found this site an all rounder, it will support growth of steem blockchain.

These communities, i found by searching the trending and most engaging ones. Also in the achievement 6 post of @cryptokannon i found links to some other popular communities that were according to my interest.

This is all for my achievement 6 post, looking forward for some positive response.
