Achievement 5 Task 1 by @afunkycares: Review Steemworld.org

in Newcomers' Community3 years ago

Hello steemians, I hope everyone is fine? Been a while I wrote on this space. Glad to be here again. Finally had to write my achievement 5 after this unintended break.

I want to thank @cryptokannon for the easy-to-understand mentorship post and @yohan2on for his review posts on these tasks. Below is my Task 1 for the Achievement 5.

INTRODUCTION

Steemworld.org is an incredible work by the topwitness @steemchiller. It was developed to help steemit users track different transactions on the Steem BlockChain and other activities carried out on our individual accounts. I really like this site, you can explore "your own world" on the Steemit and see details of all that is running on your account , just as the name implies.

Simply click the site link steemworld.org . Right on the home page top right corner, sign in with your steemit account name and posting key, as shown below.

DELEGATIONS

Delegations is the amount of SP temporarily given or received by another user. It increases the effective Steem power and voting power of the receiving account. The delegatee enjoys more curation rewards from voting with the increased SP and also use it as resource credits for activities such as post, comment, resteem etc on the Steem Blockchain.

  • Types of delegations*
  1. Incoming Delegation: This is the delegated SP from another account received by another account for temporary use . Usually indicated with "plus sign" before the amount of SP delegated. This can be withdrawn by the delegator at anytime.

  2. Outgoing Delegation: This is the delegated SP given out to another account as resource credits and for voting for a specific period of time. Usually indicated with" minus sign" in the delegator's SP.

HOW TO DELEGATE

After signing in,

  • Click on tab "Delegations"

REWARDS

Rewards comes in three kinds: Author Rewards, Curation Rewards and Beneficiary Rewards, all three, are in form of SBD, Steem and SP.

Author rewards are earnings received for writing posts /comments. As the author of a blog post , you enjoy this kind of reward if your post is curated. It is usually 50% of the total rewards.

Curation Rewards are earnings for curating blog posts or comments that is, by voting on posts written by others. You can only enjoy curation rewards if you curate a post or follow a curation trail account that is actively curating. Also, it is 50% of the total rewards. You see ,everyone wins on Steemit, both the authors and curators are paid.

Beneficiary Rewards: This reward is set by the author to share a certain percentage of their author's rewards with another account, could be community account or another user's account. The receiving account is the Beneficiary account.

To check rewards for past 7 days,

  • simply click tab stats
  • select Rewards summary for past 7 days

VOTING POWER

IMG-20220528-WA0027.jpg

Voting power is the strength of your effective Steem power. It is represented in percentage and the voting value is in dollars. Voting power can be found at the top left corner of the dashboard, usually indicated inside a round graphical form, and the voting value indicated at the base. Your SP must be at least 700SP to have a 0.01 voting value at 100% voting weight.

As you move the cursor around the voting power, the VP decreases alongside the voting value. This implies that as you curate, the voting power decreases and it takes some time to charge back to 100%.

Beside the voting power, is a table of upvote values at different percentages. This upvote values are in dollars for different voting weights.
The voting weights is a variant of your voting power at different percentages.

After several upvoting on blog posts, the voting power decreases from, for example, 99.98%, to 96.88%. Now at 96.88% voting power, the upvote values at different voting weights changes ( decreases) as to that of 99.98% voting power.

This shows that at 99.98% VP, the upvote value at 100% ,50%, 20%....% voting weights differs from the upvote value at same voting weights for 96.88% VP.

The table is useful such that it helps us to have a quick view of the upvote values at different voting weights of our current voting power.

Steemworld.com is a really user friendly website that helps users to get familiar and updated with their account and it is simple to use.

Thank you all for reading through.
