Markdowns are very important features used on the steemit platform and other platforms. This helps to make write ups pretty nice and presentable to readers. Members of the steemit platform are required to be familiar with Markdowns in order to make articles to be good looking and well presentable. Below are some common ways of Markdown and how they function.

Pictures are used to briefly explain the author’s idea in a more plain manner to the reader. To add or upload an image on steemit platform, you can simply drag and drop the image or paste from clipboard. The picture below describes how a picture is uploaded during the process of writing on the steemit platform. you simply just click where the arrow Ian pointing and you can then choose the photo of interest and it will load from 0% to 100%.

Images can be aligned to the left, left, or center of the text within the write up. This is done by the following means.

You input the following characters without space between them < “div class” = “pull-left” > image link < / div > for example I have used the above format to realize this image by the left of this text. Make sure you are not putting the “pull-left” and “div class” in quotes.

To link the sources of a material on the steemit platform is very vital in order to avoid plagiarism. Headlines are just like those we see in newspapers. They are the most important part of an article which is used to capture the reader’s attention. They are the first things that get the interest of your audience and you need to get them right. To create a headline, you add a hashtag (#) to the first word of the headline text. I know you must be wondering how one can differentiate one heading from the other in the same article. Note that as you add more hashtags to a particular headline, it’s size decreases. For the first and main header, put just a hashtag (#); the second header, put two hashtags (##); for the last header, put three hashtags (###) and so on. What you do is put the hashtag sign (#) and then click on space before typing the text for the headline. When you apply this, it will appear like the examples below.

Tables are created by using the method below.

Type the header and separate it from the next header by pipes “|” and separating rolls by dash lines. To make it easier just copy and not paste this table and then add your columns or rolls.

The number of rows can be increased by the addition of new headers or new cells separating with the pipes.

To justify texts, you apply the following characters.

I love Africa because of it so rich culture but most especially because am an African. I come from the western part of Africa with one of the best cultural experiences compared to the eastern part of my continent Africa. Notwithstanding, I learned that the southern part of Africa has the best culture. I hope to visit this part of my continent one day.
