As dawn breaks, I rise early, eager to embrace the day's festivities. Standing by the window, I bask in the tranquil morning ambiance, finding solace in the dawn's light. With much to accomplish, I wake my daughter from her slumber, ensuring she's ready for the day's events.

Her breakfast and a quick shower later, we find ourselves preparing for a community event organized by our welfare group in honor of Independence Day. Today's program features a 'Poem Recitation Competition,' with participants divided into age groups. Graced with the opportunity to serve as a judge, I witnessed firsthand the talent and enthusiasm displayed by each participant. My daughter, though too young to partake, is captivated by the performances, her excitement palpable.

Adorned in the vibrant hues of our national flag, the 'Lal Shobuj Sharee,' committee members gather for a group photo, symbolizing our unity and pride as Bangladeshis. With the event a resounding success, we return home in the afternoon, where I resume my daily chores before heading to the kitchen to prepare 'lota with kucha chigri' for the evening meal.

As the sun sets, my husband treats us to an iftar outing, a special gesture to commemorate this auspicious day. Following a blessed meal , we embark on a trip to the bustling town of Chattogram , exploring its vibrant streets and modern amenities. The 'Finly Square' mall beckons with its array of electronic stores, where we indulge in some much-needed shopping.

As we make our way back home , the streets come alive with the beautiful lighting arrangement colors of our flag , illuminating the night with a patriotic fervor. In this moment , I reminisced about the great sacrifices of our freedom fighters, whose valor and resilience paved the way for our independence. Their legacy lives on in our hearts as we celebrate this cherished day , grateful for the freedoms we enjoy .

In the quiet of the night , as I retire to bed , I offer prayers of gratitude for the blessings of this day , and for the unity and strength of our beloved Bangladesh. Ramadan and Independence Day - a harmonious blend of spirituality and patriotism, making today truly memorable.
