The day started with the foggy light of an early morning sunrise , a gentle reminder of the beauty that awaited us. Anticipating a special weekend day, we had planned an outdoor breakfast , a rare treat for me since leaving my student and professional life. Winter mornings hold a special place in my heart , and the chosen location was the enchanting Dhanmondi 27 lake, a place we had visited before and fell in love with.

Initially , our whole family was in the plan, but my father-in-law, who was feeling under the weather, didn't join us . Embarking on a rickshaw journey towards the lake , we enveloped ourselves in the brisk and invigorating chill of the winter morning . The tranquility of the lake , embraced by its natural beauty, provided a welcome respite from the hectic pace of city life . A simple breakfast with "Tandoor bread" and delectable "Beef Nihari" was enjoyed , complemented by the soothing warmth of milk tea. Alhamdulillah , it was the perfect start to a Friday.

As we lingered, captivated by the tranquility of the surroundings, we discovered a nearby flower shop bursting with vibrant colors. The beauty of the flowers left an indelible mark, setting the tone for a wonderful day ahead. We returned home by 11 a.m., feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the moments spent together.

The day continued with the arrival of my sister-in-law and her daughter. While the little ones engaged in playful bickering over balloons, it was heartwarming to witness their bond. Meanwhile, I took charge of the kitchen, preparing a delightful "Katol fish vuna" for lunch, sharing a delicious meal with the family.

Post-lunch, we gathered for a relaxed chat, accompanied by evening tea. With my sister-in-law at home, we decided to extend the joy by heading out for dinner. Our destination was Captain's, a place with indoor play facilities for the children. Their excitement in the play area set the stage for an enjoyable evening.

After a joyful play session, we settled down for dinner. My husband and I captured the precious moments with photographs, creating lasting memories. The dinner was a culmination of laughter, warmth, and shared experiences. As the night progressed, it was time to bid farewell to the enchanting place, leaving our little ones reluctantly behind.

Dropping off my sister-in-law and her family, we headed home, cherishing the contentment that comes from spending quality time with loved ones.
