Betterlife - The Diary Game | July 2, 2024|A Day of Rain Turned into Happiness and Cherished Memories.

Assalamualaikum everyone . I hope all of my steemian friends are doing well and having good time. In my place, it has been raining daily since last week. Our daily routine continues despite the rain. Sometimes it pours like cats and dogs , and other times it drizzles. Today, I want to share a day spent playing with the rain.

We woke up in the morning and saw it was raining just like the previous days . The weather was calm and soothing. When my baby woke up, she was upset to see the rain because she wanted to go outside. She had been hoping for a few clear days, but the persistent rain kept us indoors. To cheer her up, I told her we would take a bath in the rain, which made her very happy. She eagerly tried to catch the raindrops. After spending some time enjoying the rain, we went to have our breakfast.

After breakfast, I needed my mandatory morning tea. Once refreshed, I did some household chores and spent time with my daughter. Later, I went to the kitchen to prepare lunch. Since we had a dawat (gathering) that night, I decided to cook a simple menu to keep things light. However, my growing baby kept reminding me of my promise to shower in the rain. Concerned about the risk of catching a cold or fever, I decided to take her out with an umbrella. First, I sent her out with her father and watched from the window as she enjoyed the drizzling rain under the umbrella. Seeing her joy, I couldn't resist joining them.

We walked and enjoyed the drizzling rain and the beautiful weather together. My daughter was enjoying her time to the fullest. As she is growing up, she has started to understand and appreciate so many things. I captured some pictures of her to keep this moment in our memory. After our "Brishty Bilash" (rainy fun), we went home and freshened up for prayer and lunch. The weather was perfect for an afternoon nap, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

After waking up, it was already evening. Following our evening prayer, we had some pitha made from Qurbani beef, which I had prepared earlier for evening snacks and stored in the freezer. In this weather, such fried items are the perfect craving food.

After our evening snacks, it was time to get ready for a dinner invitation at a friend's house. This invitation was only for the ladies, so my husband stayed home. We went there and met with other friends. This dinner invitation was lively and enjoyable. Due to the continuous rain, we had been bored at home for almost 5-6 days. This gathering was a much-needed break. Since we live in the same community, we usually meet regularly, but the long rainy days had kept us apart. This dinner invitation gave us the chance for a big gathering.

My friend had prepared a lot of delicious dishes for dinner. We enjoyed lots of gossip, jokes, and laughter, spending quality time together. Meanwhile, our children had a wonderful time playing with their friends.
