Today I am sharing with you the Steem For Bangladesh community organized by @mostofajaman Contest 📢: Season 1, #week 3, "Save Water, Save World" Thank you very much for organizing such a beautiful water contest in every session. And through this contest of yours, we can get a good idea and learn about water pollution and water borne diseases, how to save water and how to prevent water pollution. So according to the rules of this contest, I am starting to hope you like it.
Explain that water is the only life
As a child, I read in school that the name of water is life, and the name of water is death. Life has no movement without water, we can live without everything but for our human body, we cannot live without water. Water is a very important thing for the human body, and the animals and birds around us cannot live without it. Without it, human life would be empty and all would fall to death.
Do you think drinking water is decreasing day by day?
Of course, I think the water is decreasing day by day because earlier I used to see our river canals ponds canals bill was always full of water and the water was always clear. Now the river channel is drying up in different areas, desert water is not available and the river water is getting polluted, no water is available in the canal bill. Even during monsoon, the water is not clean properly; the water of the river is black, and the water of the pond is black. And we used to drink water from the tubewell very well, and the water was very clear and tasty. But now, even if the tube wells are installed deep in the ground, clear water is not available and the amount of water is less. We get water from natural sources like rain, rivers, sea, etc. Water is also available from man-made sources like lakes, ponds, wells, tube wells, etc.
What steps can we take to conserve drinking water and prevent wastage?
Drinking Water Conservation We have to save our nature by preventing waste. Once upon a time, there was rural life everywhere and there was a rural atmosphere—not so much mills, big buildings and cars. The environment was very beautiful then; there was no black smoke from cars, no black smoke from mill factories, and no smoke from illegal brick kilns. Now the population is increasing day by day. Because of this, we are destroying our nature, Water and air are changing, so we have to be aware and prevent our water waste from accumulating. Large mills and factories have to discharge their effluents so that they are not discharged into external canals and rivers. Then we will be protected from water borne diseases and polluted water, I think.
Where can we get water for drinking when the ground water is depleted?
At present, ground water is at last stage As I said in the above topics earlier, we got water from tube well, and clear, very cold water was nice to drink. And now, if tube wells are installed in a very deep place, water is not available properly. Now the water supply is running in different places; a big pump is installed in a certain place and the water is taken from that pump and given to the people of the area through specific meters so that they do not waste the water. Because underground water is not available in many areas now, we will depend on supply water after a few days. And there is a very big China project going on in the area where I live. I live in Rupganj area of Narayanganj. There is a bridge named Gazi Setu in Rupganj area. Next to that bridge, a big water project has been going on for the last four years. It will bring water directly from Meghna river through big pipe, treat all that water and supply it to us. So when our underground water is reduced, we have to depend on the supply water.
