The varieties of seasons that occur in different locations are related to the hemispheric position of the world and these seasons gives a natural space for growth which impacts agriculture, ecology and different culture around the world.

The Seasons in my Country and the one that is my Favorite

I have grown to experience just two seasons in my country (Nigeria) which are; the Wet season (rainy) and Dry season. The wet season which is the rainy season is between April and October while the Dry season occur during November to March. The timing for each season can slightly varies due to the region. Looking into the impacts of each season, I do not have a favorite among them because both seasons are very important to me and the people around me.

The Season I Would Want to Skip Forever

Like I said earlier, both seasons in my country are very much important and they both play significant roles in the environment ( crops planting, water availability, sun for drying of clothes and harvesting of crops). I don't think I would want to skip any of these seasons.

The Traditional or Special Activities that People in Nigeria do During a Particular Season

Traditionally, people in my country mostly use dry season for their cultural activities and when it comes to agricultural activities, it is best to plant crops during this season and wait for rainy season to water the crops.

The Special Foods or Drinks that People in Nigeria Enjoy Most During Certain Seasons

There are many delicacies in my country and every region has their preferred foods or drinks during a particular season.

In my region, during the rainy season, pepper soup, hot tea, white soup and fisherman soup are the special foods that people usually consume.

Reasons being that; these meals are usually served hot and peppery and it is also very good for the cold weather.

For Dry season; porridge yam or plantain, ice cream, rice and palm wine. During this season, there is always abundant of fruits ( different types) so more fruits are being consumed by the people.

Reasons: the weather is usually harsh and hot so people need to eat something chilled to balance the body temperature.

I would like to invite @eliany, @stef1 and @josepha to join the contest.

Every season is important to the citizens in Nigeria, we appreciate the dry season as it allows us flex without being worried if it's going to rain but then the raining season is good for the plants as well.

Thank you for inviting I wish you success
