STEEMIT ENGAGEMENT CHALLENGE S8W4 - FAMOUS STREET FOODS IN MY PLACE

Hello to to everyone in this wonderful community today. How are we all doing, I hope everyone is doing just fine this day and if so we give God the praise.

I welcome you all to yet another beautiful week of the season 8 engagement contest that has been brought forward by the steemit team in other to improve engagement among users in this platform.

Today, I will be participating in the engagement contest that this community has set for us all to participate in respect to the steemit engagement contest that has been titled famous Street foods in my place. I urge you all to stay put as I drop my entry regarding this contest.

I stay at a place called samaru in Zaria, Kaduna state. The location where I live is known to be dominated by elites and as such, the area is mostly surrounded with eateries. There is this favorite place that I love visiting to eat and it is called Chicken Republic.

The place is so nice that I celebrated my birthday there and also I managed to invite some of my friends to come celebrate with. The food there is so great and well prepared in good manner as we get to see the outlook of the meal in a fantastic form.

I do not know the ingredients used to make the meal but I believe the normal recipes were included in making of the meal. We got jellof rice and chicken for everyone and the taste was so fantastic.

Normal ingredients such as salt, curry, maggi, pepper, tomatoes and a lot more were employed in making of the jellof rice meal. The price for each plate cost us #2,200 which is equivalent to 15 Steem. And we all had a bottle of drink which was been served along the food.

Next is the Suya spot. The word Suya is known as beef meat. It is pronounced Suya in the area I live and almost all the native people in that area love the Suya spot.

Here the meat is being cooked in the basin where it is place as seen in the above images. The raw meat is being placed inside the basin and fire is being kindled beneath the basin. The fire provides heat directly to the basin and the meat is being cooked via that process.

Spices like curry, maggi, pepper, thyme, and salt are used to bring out the taste of the beef meat. And at the end of the day, the Suya seller will then turn off the fire a little bit when the meat is cooked.

The meat is being sold according to the amounts you need and as such there is no particular amount unless you want to buy all the meat. So the meat seller would cut out from the meat according to the amount of money the buyer is willing to pay.

CONCLUSION

These are the famous street foods in my place and people love to patronize each of these places especially the Suya spot since the people of this town love it so dearly that they always come to this spot to buy and eat meat. They often use this join as a place where they come to catch fun with each other when they retire home after working hours.

It is indeed a great joint to visit. Although the managerial handling is done locally and that is how the native people here in this area love it.
