Hello to everyone is this great community today. I greet you all in good spirit and I hope we all are doing just great today, and If so we give the almighty praise.

I welcome you all to yet another season of the steemit engagement contest that has been brought forward by the steemit team in other to improve engagement among users in this platform.

I was quite 14 years old when I began engaging in social media. I started with a social media application called 2go and it was very interesting.

My experience regarding social media has been great so far. Through the help of social media platforms I get to learn many things regarding the society, also I have learned new things and I keep learning new thing everyday. My experience keep getting wider and better too, so it has been a wonderful ride so far.

Truth be told, the right age for people to have access to social media platforms is at age 18. This is the standard age for individuals to have access to social media because at that point in time, maturity has been attained.

The reason why we notice the case of social media bullies is because the level of under age individuals are higher and as such they tend to talk whatever they want to talk about and do whatever they pleases without thinking straight nor having the right manner of approach.

So to me the right time for one to have access to social media is at age 18.

Well what I get to say regarding people that are no longer responsible for managing their social media accounts is that, to me I don't find it cool to allow others to be in charge of your social media accounts.

Your social media accounts are supposed to be private and are supposed to be managed by the owner alone. With that one will get to see things for his or her self and also respond to messages which he or she has deemed fit get a reply.

So it doesn't speak well of you when you allow someone to be in charge of your social media accounts because there won't be privacy.

Well to me I would say the best way to manage your social media accounts is to be dedicated and make sure you are in good terms with your followers. Alway know the right words to say at the right time and for the right reason.

The reason why most people do not manage their accounts especially celebrities is because of anger issues and the ability to always react to things they should shy away from.

So to manage your account so well you must be a cool person who do not always take things to heart and also you must be an individual who finds a way to stay calm even in the midst of the storm because we all know that there are internet trolls.

Your ability to look over what people say on social media depends on your level of mind maturity. So the best way to manage your account is to be calm and do not overreact to situations.

To me I believe social media is taking over the world and things are becoming more simplify with the help of social media. Information is power and with social media power, the future
of communication Will be empowered greatly.

Social media do have advantages and disadvantages and I will be highlighting them in a tabular form.

ADVANTAGES	DISADVANTAGES
1 - It builds cordial relationship with people but far and beyond	1 - It gives room for bullying
2 - It helps to pass information very fast to many people at a time	2 - It can be used to pass bad information and cause havoc when wrong information is sent viral.
3 - Social media also promote learning as people get to learn from other people	3 - It create an avenue for misconduct and ill-mannered attitudes.

There are more to talk about but these few will do for this question.

There are certain social media platforms in the world and the major social media platforms are as follows Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Whatsapp, Tiktok all these platforms are social media platforms that one can just use to chat with other and have fun.

The Steemit platform is now among the social media platforms that is now useful in Nigeria and the platform is one that benefits people by rewarding them via making quality articles in the platform.
