Steemit Philippines Magazine First Edition: Succesful Charity Events, Contests, and Best Author Award||February 8-2022

The first edition of the Steemit Philippines magazine is a compilation of the outstanding events and developments happening within the community for January 2022. Highlighting the humanitarian charity events in the Philippines, contests initiated by the team members, and our local awards for the best author in our community.

Charity Events Funded By Steemit Philippines Charity Account

Our community is a living witness on posts from our users from the Philippines, after the devastation of a strong typhoon that hits the Visayas area, wherein until now there are still no electricity and phone signal in some areas.

As our help to our Filipino users, we initiated a charity event funded by our charity account. Our community donated a total of 55sbd and 209 steem helping more than 70 families. That said event was hosted by @bien and he was assisted by the teachers, @kyrie1234, @fabio2614, @abby0207, and @bisayakalog.

Upon seeing those priceless smiles from the recipients, it is now written on the memory of this community that during a disaster, we are in action and are willing to serve our fellow Filipinos.

Our Second Charity event was helping the grandmother of @mariarosa27 who was admitted to the hospital because of the coronavirus.The @steemph.charity charity gave 10sbd to @mariarosa27 after her proposal was posted in our community. Facing this kind of situation is never easy for families, especially concerning the raging hospital bills. The good news, her grandmother is now getting better.
The @steemph.charity is under the Steemit Philippines account and is willing to help our members provided that they will post a proposal with detailed information. Monthly, we will choose 1 to 2 recipients that will receive support from the said charity account whenever there is.

Best Author Award

Our Best Author for this month is @long888, he's been showing his versatility in writing in different niches and producing quality posts for our community. This month he posted about his staycation in a Mountain Resort together with his family and his advocacy of helping the deprived individuals and aged people.
