Elections here in the Philippines is approaching. Although it is just a few months from now, the candidates from Presidency down to the Local Government Units are already starting to do their campaign. Along with it, they have also started mud-slinging each other candidates and it rouses a certain level of toxicity in their posts that are shared in Facebook most especially. It is good that all my network on Twitter is purely crypto topics. Though you can still see what's the trending from the sides, and it's all about the elections - you just have the option just to ignore it. An option however, that is impossible to have in Facebook.

I was actually able to notice that all my stress recently just came from Facebook feed that I have been seeing when I scroll down and MOST of the chat groups I belong to - that now I have started to ignore.

I might be using the messenger only and just communicate with my contacts there for very important matters. You will see me now most often on Telegram and now discord. It is good that the Ambassadors are now doing an amazing job in Facebook Group that we have. For my sanity's sake although I am a very patient and flexible person, I will just focus my time, energy and skills to the new responsibility that was given to me. Help me God!

While scrolling down my feed and just actually ignoring the hate speech of the die-hard supporters running for the presidency, I have noticed a former colleague of mine who has a lot of accumulated debts from other people and also from me that he/she just posted a selfie four hours ago and yet the photo has gained 100+ likes. Contrary when I share a post that is helpful and beneficial to everyone, and me... a person who is very helpful (even financially) can hardly get any support and appreciation from my former colleagues from different companies I have worked with. Yes, I am just a human feeling this way though I am not quite sure if it's just me being childish or what not.

I really guess that I haven't created much impact to them but yes, I must not care at all. I am so sorry if I blurted it out here and you might think this Steemit Philippines Moderator has an emotional imbalance. I'd rather tell everyone what I currently feel than pretend that I am not coz that makes me a human-being. Imperfections, flaws, weaknesses should all be subject for a change to be a better you. But I assure you, I am trying to control myself to handle everything professionally.

Also a great thing, to know what are the negative things that we have so that we'll be able to turn it out to be our greatest strengths once we overcome this challenge of making ourselves better.

With this, I will just order my favorite milk-tea to ease and pacify my mind.

There you go, while waiting for my favorite Wintermelon Milk-Tea to arrive, I'll be continuing my campaign to use Steemit instead of Facebook.

As I was saying, the turn of events here on steemit has encouraged a lot of members to be more active. I am actually inviting a lot of people to join just to get-away with the toxicity of what Facebook can put through our lives. Have you recently seen the Facebook whistle-blower? I am pretty sure this is actually true based on the analysis of what the lady says.

It was in the height of the news when Facebook and Instagram have shut down for several hours. Most people, of course, checked Google about it and turn to other social media like Twitter to know what happened. Thus, I also found out about this. I have already heard of it but of course just turned a blind-eye to this issue before until I've realized that I do have a social responsibility that I must do and let people get aware.

A lot of people may just ignore me at first but I am sure that somehow they will soon realize this cause I am diligently pursuing! To stop using facebook and just turn to Steemit. Any alternative social media will be great!

As far as using facebook for more than a decade, it has only been the source of connection through my friends and family members because of its messenger app. It is the only free site here in the Philippines that the giant Telecom networks are offering, the reason we are ought to use it.

Being active on social media makes us more connected and the result will give stronger ties to these people who matter a lot in our lives. But then, it will also give us the feeling of the lack of freedom coz all the things that we we do, these people will be able to know, unless we put change the settings of the only ones who would be able to see it. Which is I guess a form of centralization on our part and can be easily manipulated by anyone.

I would like to share too that I was really disappointed with what happened to my facebook account several years ago as it was also blocked by them just because I have posted about cryptocurrency topics on my wall and several groups. Thank God they have given my access back but this event has made me extremely weary in posting things that I really wanted to post and think I might get banned again.

I would like to share also that just a few days ago, one of our Steemit-Philippines Moderator / Leader in Mindanao @long8888 has also suffered this indemnification of facebook. The reason that he would need to create another account. I really got sad when I found out that all of his friends and the memories from his photos will be gone if his account access will not be given back to him. A thing that is quite really difficult to add his friends back using his newly-created account. The reason this form of disgust was strengthened for me to continue this post that was created last Wednesday of this previous week.

Amidst the hype now about Facebook changing its name to Meta, it is perceived by almost everyone that this Social Media giant will just get away with their issues just like that!

It was like a notification from the Facebook app a few days ago that they will be changing its name to Meta but the app won't change its features or whatsoever!

My two-cents:

If these Social Media giants just needs to change its name to get away with their flaws, then it's really not a good choice to be there for a long time. God knows what might happen in the future.

When the whistle-blower admitted that Facebook promotes hate and toxicity to gain a lot of attention and interaction from members, then I would really look for alternatives from then on.

Steemit is the best!

It has emerged from the ashes after its known issue over a year ago but then here it is, and really gaining traction to a lot of people. Soon, mass adoption is inevitable.

I maybe a leader in a conflicting blockchain, but I will give the credit of being the best crypto blogging platform to Steemit.

I love Steemit and will be the platform for my personal life from then on.
