Assalamu Alaikum everyone. Today I ‍am going to be participating in a contest for Healthy Steem community. The theme of the competition is about self care. Self care of ourselves is an important part of our daily routine that we need to maintain every day. Below I will explain my views on self-care by answering some questions from the contest.

1) What is the importance of self-care?

I think self care is not only about the body but also about taking care of the human mind. If our mind is good, our body will be good too. If I explain self care in two parts then we need to pay attention to both mind and body. Our mental and physical bodies are complementary to each other. Below I explain the importance of both of these:

  • Mental Care : Mental work in our life is to take any decision by thinking, thinking and believing. As a result, we experience the success and failure of our work through joy and pain. These feelings develop our mental thinking. Mental health affects our physical well being as well. So it is very important to take care of the mind in life.

  • Physical Care : There's no way to physical care to lead a healthy life. We can take care of our bodies by eating well nourished foods and exercising. In order to keep the body healthy we must give up bad habits eat healthy food and do physical exercise every day.

2)Explain 4 tips to care yourself?

Taking care of ourselves is one of our most important tasks. When people start taking care of themselves the bodys metabolism system becomes more active which helps us to increase our performance throughout the day. Here are 4 tips to help you take care of yourself:

  • Self Reliance on Mental Health : It is my responsibility to take care of my mental health. Because I dont have to worry about what other people think about me in my personal and professional life. In short it is better to take control of your own mental health than to give it to others.

  • Consuming healthy food : Regarding the importance of physical care, first of all we need to ensure healthy food. Because nutritious food certainly helps to keep the body healthy. So it is necessary to take healthy food for self care.

  • Regular physical exercise : Regular physical exercise helps to keep the body cheerful. By doing this, any kind of disease is prevented from occurring in the body. Regular physical exercise can be done by choosing a specific time of the day. Besides, there is yoga which helps in keeping our mental health good.

  • Work Replacement : You can replace bad habits with good work to take care of yourself. Like many of us, we spend hours and hours on social media. In this case I would say that instead of wasting time like this, we should give ourselves time or spend it on some creative work.

3)What you think regarding statement?(Self-care is selfish)

I think my statement is reasonable. Self care can never be selfishness. Because I think taking care of yourself is a responsibility. Many cannot fulfill this responsibility alone. You have to depend on others. Being able to take care of ourselves creates a space of confidence within us. Then our mental morale becomes stronger. So I don't see anything selfish here. It is very important for everyone to have the quality of self-care.

I can't agree more with you that our mental health is as important as our physical health, we must take very good of ourselves because it will show that we love and value life and appreciate the giver of life too. Success dear!

Taking care of ourselves helps to boost our mental health and I think it's been underrated. You have to be mentally stable to go about your day, when we are mentally well, we do not need to worry about physical health. Let's protect ourselves from whatever it is that will affect our mental health.

You are right. Self-care can never be selfishness. Many cannot fulfill this responsibility alone. Because they cannot take care of many small people by themselves. They have to depend on others.
