I hope everyone is doing well by the mercy of Allah Almighty. I am also fine Alhamdulillah ! I am here for taking part in contest which is organized by respected @khursheedanwar . The title of the contest is : "Paralysis " .
I am thankful to him for giving us a chance to share our knowledge about paralysis.

What is paralysis ? |

It is a medical condition in which person loses the ability to move. The problem by nervous system causes paralysis. When you are unable to make voluntary muscle movements paralysis occured. In paralysis you cannot move or feel the part of your body. Do you know when it is happen ? It happens when the brain cannot send the signals to the muscle. This is because of injury or illness. Paralysis usually happens due to the damage of nervous system. One side of the body can be affected. The loss of movement and sensation can be partial.
For instance : if our back or spine hurt we are unable to move our legs.

It can be classified into several types based on its affect on the body. Some of them are :
Complete Paralysis :
- A loss of all movements and sensation in the body is known as complete paralysis.
Monoplegia :
- This type of paralyses can affect one part of the body like leg or arm.
Hemiplegia :
- This type of paralysis can affect the one side of the body including arm and leg of one side.
Paraplegia :
- Paraplegia can affect the both legs or sometime it can affect the lower part of the body.
Quadriplegia :
- It can affected on all four limbs. It can also affect the body. It is most critical condition.
Partial Paralysis :
- In the affected area there is a some degree movement or sensation.
Its types based on its location or severity injury or condition of the patient.
How long it takes to recover from paralysis ? |

Its recovery depends on its underlying cause. Its recovery depends on its damage and the type of treatment a patient receive.
The patients of stroke-induced paralysis can take recovery from weeks to months or even years. Some patients may achieve specific functions meantime others may experience endless affects.
The patients who faces the multiple sclerosis may be progressive and take recovery greatly depending on their course of disease.
Peripheral nervous injuries types of patients can take time about weeks to years. It depends on the treatment and extent injury.
The patients who suffered from Guillain-Barre Syndrome can take time for its recovery about about months to years. Many patients achieve most of their function.
The patient of spinal cord injuries take time for its recovery depends on its location and injury. Some patients recover partially or completely but some patients face this problem forever.
In the recovery process therapies and treatments plays important role. In some patients complete recovery may not be possible. It is important for individuals experiencing paralysis to consult doctors and professional healthcare for a proper treatment.
