Hello all,
This is my entry to the contest, SEC-S16 / W6 | "The Science of Aging👩", organized by @hive-168205.

Aging is an inevitable phenomenon all living beings have to go through in their lives. Many scientists, researchers, philosophers, and religious leaders see this aging from different perspectives. Thousands of studies have been conducted to analyze the science of aging living beings. Also, some of the research focuses on extending the lifespan of humans.

What is the medical process behind aging, and at which age does it start?
There are several medical factors affecting the aging of living beings. influenced by a variety of biological processes that occur at the cellular, molecular, and systemic levels.
At the level of cellulars, aging starts with the beginning of the loss of the ability of cells to divide and function properly. This problem is caused by several factors, such as DNA damage, oxidation stresses, and gene changes.
At the molecular level, Mitochondrial dysfunction is another reason for the aging process. The loss of the functioning of Mitochondria leads to a decrease in energy generation for the body, which accelerates the aging of the body.

Are you afraid of becoming older, and if yes, what are the challenges of aging that make you afraid of getting older?
The answer to this question is yes. I'm afraid of becoming old since it will be difficult for me to do the work I do now. I normally love to work like a horse, but getting older will make me a less active person.

Write any three nutritional items that can prevent aging?

  1. Antioxidants-rich Foods: This nutrition helps to neutralize the harmful free radicals which damage the body cells. This nutrition is basically included in fruits and vegetables.
  2. Omega-3 Fatty Acids: This nutrition helps to reduce the risk of chronic diseases associated with aging. This nutrition basically can be found in
  3. Proteins: Proteins help to regrow some parts of our body, such as nails, hair, and skin. Proteins are highly available in meat, fish, and eggs.

Any three exercises that can make you look young even in older age?
Many different types of exercises are available to improve health and reduce aging in our bodies. Some of them are,

  1. Strenghting exercises
  2. Yoga
  3. Cardiovascular exercises

Aging is a natural and inescapable phenomenon that happens to people who are advanced in age. This natural process happens in different people with different rate. The fear of the unknown can make fer the aging period not knowing that it's one of the exciting period. Understanding the medical reasons behind aging, like DNA damage and mitochondrial dysfunction, is important. Personally, I worry a bit about getting older because it might slow me down. Eating foods with antioxidants, omega-3s, and proteins can help prevent aging. And doing exercises like strengthening, yoga, and cardio can keep us feeling young.
