AIDS is a fatal disease. It can cause death. The cause of this disease is human immunodeficiency virus. The immune system becomes weak. And it causes cancer.

Causes of AIDS

There are many causes of AIDS. Exchange of blood, semen and rectal fluids cause aids. Moreover vaginal fluids as well as breast milk also cause this deadliest disease. It spreads from the infected persons. Some other causes are given below:

• Unprotected Sexual Contact: AIDS spread extremely because of the unprotected sexual contact with those people who are infected.

• Shared Needles: Do not use contaminated needles of the patients. Avoid using used needles for the tattoos and piercing.

• Breastfeeding : Similarly it can also spread from a mother to the children via the breastfeeding.

• Blood Transfusions: If someone gets blood from an infected person then it will cause AIDS in the accepter. So always check blood before the transfusion.

What Do You Know About AIDS Treatment?

Antiretroviral therapy is a way of managing AIDS. Because it does not has any cure. But the virus can only be controlled. This therapy increases the immune system. It reduces the transmission of the virus to others.

There are some medicines which inhibit the enzyme from the replication process. They reverse transcriptase enzyme. And it helps to stop the replication of HIV.

Protease inhibitors hinder protease and they prevent new viruses from becoming mature.

Integrase inhibitors prevent integration of HIV DNA into the DNA of host cells.

So these are some methods which can be used to control the AIDS.

It is a deadliest disease. So there is a need to take preventive measures to stop it. Some preventive measures are given below:

• Condom Use: Using male or female condoms can help to protect from the AIDS.

• Pre-exposure Prophylaxis: The usage of these pills reduces the chances of spreading aids. It protects those people who are at risk.

• Post-exposure Prophylaxis: This is an important medicine. It is used at the early stage when it becomes confirmed that SIDS has been recognised in a person.

• Sterile Needles: It is necessary to use sterile needles to avoid the spreading of the AIDS and HIV.

• Education and Awareness: Whenever there will be no awareness and education about AIDS in the public then they will not be able to get protection from it. So there is a need to spread awareness about aids through electronics as well as print media. There is also need to test time to time.
