The Diary Game (10/12/23) " Sunday Delight" A diary of Celebration and Enjoyment

Dear Diary,

Today was a beautiful Sunday, and I had a wonderful day filled with joy and an unending flow of happiness and peace from my heart, honestly some days could be very awesome with soothing feelings,that was how I felt today
as I woke up.I had a little workout and morning meditation.The day started off with homemade breakfast of porridge beans with Akamu (pap) followed by busy searching for what dress and shoes to wear for a colleague end of the year party.

The weather was perfect , the sun was shining lending credence to my warmed up conviction that the celebration and get-together I intended to attend was going to be more enjoyable. Immediately after finishing making the food , I didn't bother to eat mine I just told my partner to take care of himself and Sharon, I rushed to bathe and dressed up conveniently to the waiting terminal for the bus to come and convey us to the event venue.

We were celebrating God's year of faithfulness and favour with our colleague parking to their new home and the end of year get-together party. There were diverse kinds of food and drinks, local food , salad with chicken and chips, hot and soft drinks, and red wine. I took time to eat the local Foofoo and Afang soup also with the rice, I didn't want to miss out any of those delicacies, their aroma and taste were so appealing and enticing , I drank the red wine mixed with soft drink, despite the mixture I still felt a little intoxication, but I felt it was okay for me because that was one of the fun I needed to catch after years of abstinence.The food and drinks I had were delightful and it made my day , and I also had better conversation with my colleagues and friends.

After returning home, I changed up and went to my Lady @okere-blessing 's shop to greet her and to buy few things for tomorrow's meals, she noticed the peak of my excitement by the quantum of jokes, gists and laughter I bombarded her with , she laughed too and was happy seeing me in such mood.

I left her to my house , I spent few hours reading a captivating novel with and sipping a cold tea, It was another fascinating and perfect way to unwind and escape into a different world in a little time.

In the evening I decided to give myself a pamper treat at home, put on favourite relaxing R&B music to refresh my soul, it was an ultimate way to loose stress and rejuvenate after the huddles of the day .

As the day came to a close I reflected on all the goodly pleasures and moments of joy that made this Sunday so special to me, I'm grateful for the month of December that used to bring so much happiness.Today was a day well spent and I just look forward to many more enjoyable Sundays as this .
