SWC16WK32| Raising Boys And Girls

in Steem For Ladies4 months ago

Good day beautiful people of this community, it's a new week and it comes with a very interesting topic from steem for ladies on the theme: Should boys and girls be raised in the same way?. I will say a lot about it even though I'm not a mother yet.

As a proud aunty to many kids in my family, I will say that there's a very big difference in raising a boy child and a girl child in some ways.

In a world where so many crazy things are happening, you will wake up and see a boy child start behaving like a girl, I have one in the compound I'm leaving presently. A boy of 7 years old always wanting to wear her elder sister's cloth of 11 years, what annoys me most is, the mother not seeing anything wrong with his behavior, all she will say is that, right from infant the boy wanted to be a girl that is why he likes doing girls stuff, even when he wants to urinate he will squot down to pee (smile).

In Doing Domestic Chores

When it comes to doing domestic chores in the house, I think this is where we don't need to select chores for the gender, like saying, boys don't cook or help in the kitchen, this is very wrong because it will affect them sooner or later. They both gender need to know this skill, they have to be domesticated.

When it comes to arranging the house and keeping it tidy, it shouldn't be girl's duty only. Boys also can do that even more than the way girls does, parent and guardians need to teach their children this and also make them understand that there's no no gender-based duty when it comes to doing house chores.

In Education

In the school environment, boys are being treated as superior than girls especially in the classroom, you will see boys being placed at the back of the classroom while the girls sit on the front row. When it comes to physical activities too, like games, coach will now choose what games a boy have to play and the one girl have to play. This is not proper, children are to be allowed to be free in choosing what their mind likes and not imposing it on them all in that name of "the are boys".

The education that is to be given to boys and girls has to be the same and equal, in terms of principles and values. What should matter most is to teach them how to discern good from bad.

In Leadership

In the government of now a days, ladies are taking the lead, 35% right are given to women in government. So we have to disregard that idea of men are the only ones to rule, we have pass the olden days arrears, the world is evolving, we are no longer in olden days were rigidity in leadership set a tone. Train your children both male and female to know that every one of them have equal right to lead irrespective of their gender.

Choice Of Color

I normally heard people say that boys are lovers of blue colors while girls like pink colors, I don't believe that because presently males now opt for color blocking, I mean they like multiple color combinations, something that supposed to be done by girls. There's one of my girlfriend that is in love with black color, which is a very weird thing.

In this case parents are to allow their children make choices of the color their eyes fancy and not making them feel they are only entitled to one color as a boy, which is blue color.

In Religion

I know this is where there's a big difference, in Christianity nots are being taught and raised on how to value and protect a girl. In the church the boys are trained on to lead, like being the pastor, elder and other roles in the church since the society recognized the boys as the head of the home so they have to play the role of being a head in the church too.

Dressing: There's also a difference in the pattern of dressing w boy child and a girl child. You can't start dressing your girl child with what boys wear especially when taking them to church, same goes to dressing boys, as a parent you don't dress your boy child with a girl's dress all in the name of making them equal, that is not accepted, let a child be a child except you have an interior motive of doing a transgender on them.

Conclusion

God made both male and female equal but with a different roles to perform, so if you train and empower a female child, do well to also train and empower a boy child, because we have some many untamed boys roaming the streets without a proper training.

I invite @vudeme123, @tripple-e and @ekemini01 to participate in this, success to all of us.

One Love💕

@missyleo I've read from you and you have a beautiful piece there. I think in all that you are trying to say is that, equal rights and same training especially in domestic activities should be given to both boys and girls irrespective of their gender. Success to you

That's the truth my dear, all this partiality being done in some homes against females child is not encouraging.

Hello friend @missyleo, a pleasure to read you, I agree with all your publication, nowadays with the new trends of sexual diversity, childhood has entered the world and this is not normal, it should not be allowed or normalized.

Regarding education and household chores, everyone must do the same: cooking, cleaning the home, throwing out the trash, helping to clean the house. Everyone must learn household chores.

@alexandergudino it's very necessary that everyone must learn household chores irrespective of your gender

Your perspective on raising boys and girls highlights important aspects of gender equality and challenges stereotypes. You rightly emphasize the need to break traditional gender roles and encourage both boys and girls to engage in domestic chores, education, leadership, and self-expression without limitations based on gender. Additionally, your mention of the importance of allowing children to choose their preferred colors and clothing styles reflects a progressive approach to parenting that respects individual preferences and autonomy. Overall, your contribution adds valuable insights to the discussion on raising boys and girls in today's society. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this important topic. 👧👦

Thank you @entity01, for also agreeing to my point

Hello friend

You shared how important it is to have kids and not ration a particular work to any special gender, citing the instance of using the cooking for the females alone. I enjoyed the insight using the example of the little boy who tends to like to wear his sister's pants and urinate as a girl. The mum does not see the wrong in it but it is indeed a bad routine and I get your idea in the article. Thanks for sharing with us and success in the challenge my dear friend

Hello dear, I wish to you to be in peace and living their best moments of life.
You are absolutely right that when boys say that they do not like to work in the kitchen or do not like to help in the household work, it is very wrong, no work is done by any one person. Nowadays, girls are also going out and working. Boys are also working at home, this is all due to education.
I enjoyed reading your post. Wish you good may you always achieve whatever you aim for yourself in life and make the best journey .Greetings from me Have a beautiful.
