INTRODUCTION

Driving is a life skill which everyone should acquire. Proper driving has a way of reflecting on the overall approach to life. Driving is a serious responsibility with mental and physical abilities impacting the driver. There's a lot more to driving than just putting your foot on the gas and break pedals. Driving is best and more enjoyable when you drive according to the rules and regulations and when you also obey traffic wardens. Driving is a skill which require much practice, its not just to know how to drive but to drive safely with the safety of others in mind. The key to safety is to be generous, allow others to go before you, and always give a distance between you and another car as you drive to prevent any unwanted accident. Driving plays a significant role in a person life. It is a means that allows people move from one place to another with ease and convenience without stressing themselves. In learning driving, a person is only capable of moving or driving a car, but other important life aspect like safety and responsibility are managed by the driver and as such should be treated importantly.


Driving encompasses lessons which one has to learn. It is very Important to acknowledged the fact that driving is a skill and once acquired, you will use it for the rest of your life. Therefore, it is advised that when learning how to drive it is crucial to choose the right instructor and allow enough time to take the instructor advice. Traffic offences not only lead to traffic violation but it also violate other peoples right and when an individual drives with care it means being a law abiding citizens and he or she also shows the belief to protect others.

IMPORTANT RULES OF DRIVING

When we drive there are various rules one must obey as he or she drive. In Nigeria many driver has failed to follow the rules guiding driving and as such it has lead to loss of lives and property. Here I will be discussing the most important safety rules.

1 Never drink and drive : This is one of the most important driving rule. When you drink alcohol there is every tendency to be tired, have blurred vision and you may even have loss of consciousness which can result to accident. Being drunk and driving is a crime and you have to pay heavily and also go to jail when caught.

2 Always wear seat belts: wearing of seat belts prevent you from being thrown around the inside or outside of a crashing car during an accident. Wearing seat belts helps reduce the risk of serious injury by 45% to 50%. In many of car crashes, people have a greater chance of surviving if they put on seat belts.

3 Always avoid distraction: while driving
any kind of distraction like talking on phone, eating and drinking while driving etc is very dangerous as drivers will not be able to concentrate on the road and their reaction time becomes slow during critical conditions.

CONCLUSION

Driving is the skill that is carried out by the subconscious part of the brain. It is a life skill which is very important in developing a person in different aspect of life, which enables one to make appropriate decision in real life situations. This involves applying brakes, and realizing accelerating and having total control of the car. Driving a car is beneficial because it is convenient, flexible, comfortable and private.
