SEC13 WK2 “Life partners and her qualities

Greetings to my dear friends in the Steem for Ladies community. It is a pleasure to join this very interesting challenge in my first-ever entry into this community. As I understand: "Life partner and his qualities" is a contest theme that works for both partners.

I understand there is no perfect life partner as everyone has a flaw or two, but the one who tries to keep their partners happy and provides them with their personal space as and when they need it is near perfect, and of course the understanding between the two is a must.

As a human being, I have my own positive and negative qualities, as these come to all of us from our upbringing and the society we grow in, so we should learn to live with them and improve if the need arises. However, I feel there are certain basic qualities that make one an ideal partner, like honesty, love, adjustment, responsibility, willingness to solve each other's problems, and most of all, patience when their partner is not in the mood to.

What are the best and worst qualities of your partner? And that's how I feel...

I am not saying that I have the best wife, as they come right from paradise, but I have not made many complaints, so I would give it to her. Besides, it was me who selected her to be my wife after we met a couple of times to understand each other, so I knew what to expect. The only problem I face is that she is too kind and wants to solve all my problems, which leaves me with awkward problems at times. So what I feel is that personal space is a must for both partners when they should be left to themselves.

I must say she is very kind, and she loves and respects me. We have been married for a long time, and we are always together, no matter what. She has always supported me in my thick and blues, and we have faced all kinds of weather with no complaints whatsoever, just trying to adjust with each other, solving problems, and enjoying the situations together.

I must say that the support of one partner helps a lot. She is not the one who is bossy in anything except when it comes to matters of kitchens, as she feels she is the queen of the kitchen and wants me to stay away from the kitchen, which sometimes irks me because I feel men and women are equally responsible for all work, including housekeeping. But yeah, she knows what her contribution to running the home and family is, and I would again give it to her as she is dedicated to the home, mainly responsible for raising our daughter and making her what she is today.

I must say, she has always been responsible with her role as a mom because she gave up her job for the sake of our daughter. She is still the one who never hesitates to help our daughter, even though she has her own family. She likes to share and spend time with them. Even though they are older, she always worries about her children.

She is attentive to the basic needs of the home and outside and of course, a dedicated and responsible person to all her work. She also likes to help other people, especially me and sometimes goes out of the way. I like her humility, but I would love it even if she behaves a bit rude because being calm and cool is nice, but I want to taste all sorts of behaviors. I feel awkward at times because I want to carry out some of my own personal jobs, but she does them before I know it.

She has time for everything, especially since our daughter is no longer living with us, so all her attention has been diverted towards me and her paternal family, and of course towards society, as she likes to meet and contribute to society. She is always there for help and support if someone in the neighborhood needs it.

Although not everything is perfect, there is always a negative side to our partner. For example, my wife is a little too organized, and I am a little careless with my things, so I find her a little grumpy because I always leave something to her disliking.

If you could change one quality, what would it be?

The quality I would like my wife to give up is being extra careful with me because sometimes I feel I need a little time for myself, and I could do this or that in my own way without anybody's help. I want to change her habit of being the only cook in the house, as I want to be of some help to her in the kitchen as well. I know it is not easy for me to convince her because she feels I would ruin all her settings. She makes so much effort to keep them clean and tidy, and even if she knows that I am an organized person, the kitchen is the only place where she has no confidence in me. I know that she does it to stop me from entering the kitchen, but that's one thing I don't like a bit.

Share that incident that made you love your partner even more

Hmm, is there just one such incident, but she does everything that makes her even more adorable? She does everything, which makes her even more likable, for she quit her job gladly when she was expecting, and that was my wish, which I didn't want to say to myself. I guess she knew it, so she did it without a moment's hitch.

There are too many such incidents that have increased my love and respect for her over the years, so I don't want to limit it to any particular incident. It's not that we had no differences of opinion, but we always sorted them out, even if we didn't speak to each other for a few hours. But yes, that situation always lasted for a few hours, and one of us always broke the ice with a genuine, 'Sorry', and things always got back to normal as if nothing unpleasant happened between the two of us. In fact, she never made me feel or made any complaints, even if it was entirely my fault. That made our love grow even more.
