The English Language Teacher
Good day my dear steemians today i will love to write on the topic The English Language Teacher. First of all we define a teacher as a person who impact knowledge and also a person who distributes knowledge to pupils in the classroom. In school all the subject are compulsory for students in the nursery, primary section, and the junior secondary but if you reach the senior secondary you it is left for you to choose the course of your choice, and now have you seen a situation that English Language and Mathematics is compulsory for students.
In the past standard in the secondary school tends to be high, perhaps artificially so, school were staffed most exclusively by some of the native English Language speakers. It is doubtful weather many of the pupils in the newer grammar school can take the main academic curriculum in their stride as was usually the case with older, highly selected secondary school pupils. But today things have change entirely. A teacher must make a lesson note before coming, whereas before a class teacher always use phones to to browse when teaching. A teacher must have a clear written plan of what he is going to teach in the classroom.
Today the main job of the English Language Teacher is to teach the main core of English Language in the first three years of secondary school, it can not be assume that you have learnt it in primary school, let even alone learnt it. After the three years of learning the core English Language from jss1 to jss3, in your senior level you are to learn how to do speech writing by, letter writing, reading comprehension, answering of summary writings and so many others.
Better training in the college would result in better language teaching in the primary school, which in turn will lighten the burden of remedial at the beginning of the secondary school course.
