Gossip huh?
Whenever I hear of gossip, it send some negative shivers down my spine because I have been a victim of bad gossip countless times.

I don’t know if there are good gossip but gossip from its fundamental meaning points to an unconventional talk about someone and most times the information talked about are not verified.

Do you imagine waking up one day and noticed that the attitude of your best friend has suddenly changed simply because someone went and gossiped about you to her and she didn’t care to verify what was said before taking action.

She just suddenly changed and wouldn’t want to talk to you. When you finally got to find out what happened, a lot of damage had been done and you’ve lost your relationship of over five years. That’s what gossip can do.

Why are women called the queen of gossip?

Gossip is not limited to the female gender alone cos I’ve seen men who are good gossips but women are known as the queen of gossip maybe because of our gender makeup and the fact that we like to talk.

Talking is our way of expressing ourselves hence the talking at all times even when we are meant to keep quiet hence resulting in too much gossip. Whenever you see a group of women gathered, gossip is not far from them. We talk for a living.

Which topics do women like to gossip about the most?

From experience women talk about a variety of subjects like fashion. I had some roommates sometimes ago and whenever they want to discuss, they are always talking about fashion. Who is wearing what and who is not wearing what.

They discuss trends and how to trend. What is trending and what is not trending. From trends they would enter social media influencers and the many things that are happening on social media.

They would dwell on the social media for long arguing about celebrities and what they have done and all their shenanigans on the net. Their talks never seem to end.

From social media they would enter relationships and marriage and sometimes they would be discussing their personal relationships, what they like and what they don’t like. They would talk about heart breaks and love and etc. the talks just goes on and on.

How do women find time to gossip despite having such a busy routine?

Ahhh. We are born talkers hence even in the busiest of schedules, we must talk. The busy schedule is not even complete without the gossip.

Have you gone to a salon to make your hair, despite the fact that everyone is busy with making hair, they must gossip along side. The busier the women, the more gossip they have to gossip.

The annoying thing about the salons is that they take turns in gossiping about the customers. They would be talking about a customer while you are there, when you go, they will continue with you. Women must gossip. It’s inherent.

What kind of news do women like to hear? About neighbors or about movies.

Women like to hear about both news and their neighbors but I think news about their neighbors is more exciting. The people in the movies seem far away so they don’t know much to talk but they want to know everything and talk everything about their neighbors.

I use my roommates as examples. We use to have a troublesome roommate that has picked quarrels with everyone in the room except me. She’s my bunk mate hence I try not to have any issue with her.

They would always discuss her in her absence and whenever I interfere, they would always say that it’s because my name is Peace that am trying to always make peace. The topics of discussion is never ever complete until one of our neighbors is discussed. Hahahah.

Women and gossip is like five and six but I think we should be careful to verify information before making it an object of discussion to avoid peddling wrong information about people and ruining peoples relationships.

Till tomorrow I still hear people talk about me or say what someone said I did or said and 99% of the time, the information are always twisted. That’s what gossip can do.
