Greetings to you all my friends and fellow steemians. It is my delight to make my entry in this wonderful contest that has been organized by @rishabh99946. This contestis about How much i paid for my education education? And How do i managed to pay for it? It is really not easy to recalled how much i paid . However, i have been thinking deeply about this contest and i really wanted to participate. It kept me digging deeper into my past. Happily, i have been able to search out all the information i need for this contest and i am happy that finally i am making this entry. Please friends, patiently read through my entry and receive a satisfying answers to the questions posed by this contest.
ADMINISTRATION OF THE POLYTECHNIC

I graduated from high school in 2003 with a very nice grade in my Senior School Cirtificate Examination (SSCE). At that time i had wanted to study nursing in one of the schools of nursing in my State, Abia, here in nigeria. The nursing schools conduct their enrollment examination during march and April. So even before i was through with my SSCE, i decided to seat for the nursing entrance exam in 2003 in view of the hopes that i will surely clear my papers and before the nursing school will begin their admission, i would have known my SSCE result. I took the nursing entrance examination from Federal Medical center Umuahia, in capital city of Abia state Nigeria. I passed the entrance Exam, including the interview but i couldn't gain admission because my name wasn't published. I tried my best to pusue it but it didn't work out. Then i decided to try again the next year, 2004. This time, i took the entrance examination in two different nursing schools, Federal Medical center (FMC) umuahia and Abia state university teaching huspital Aba, Abia state Nigeria. But of a truth i can't explain why i didn't gain entrance into one of the schools. Because, i usually go through to the last stage but my name doesn't appear in the final list. The criteria for their acceptance was unknown to me. But fortunately to me that same year, a cousin visited me who was doing his prenational deploma in Accountancy in Abia State Polytechnic. I enquired about how to gain entrance, she told me that apart from through Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) which is a body responsible for higher instructions examination, that i can also gain entrance through direct entry if i meet their requirements. That gave me a relief. So since the nursing school was not working out, a i decided to change my mind and for accounting as a course. That accounting has been my second choice since my high school.

I got admission into Abia State Polytechnic, Aba Abia State Nigeria in the year 2004. It was during 2004/2005 academic section. I purchased the direct entry form. I later was admitted into the school to study accounting in the departmentof Accountancy in The School of Business Management and Technology (SBMT). The school ran for the first 2 years for National Deploma (ND) , after that i proceeded for an industrial attachment for one year. I later went back for my Higher National Deploma (HND) for another two years. I was also awarded the certificate at a distinction level.

To the best of my knowledge and as far as i can remember, below are my fees

57200 naira is about 763 steem at the current price .
The above are the receipted fees for my National Deploma in Accountancy and after which i was awarded the certificate. I was glad to pass out at a distiction level.
At this jucture, i now proceeded for my one year industrial attachment which i did at fidelity bank here in Nigeria and later finished up at the then Intercontinental bank but now Access bank.
At the expiration of the period, went back to school for my Higher National Diploma (HND). Below are my fees as far as i can remember:

62750 naira is approximately 837 Steem at the current price.
I paid other fees like clearance fee and convocation fee but i can't remember the amounts.

As at the time of my higher education, i was fortunate that i had a brother, our second son who promised to take care of my higher level education. He was the one paid all my fees without stress to to the end of my National Diploma including all the textbooks. At the beginning of each of the two academic section, he will count all the money that i will need and give to me. As at that time too, i was the assistant course representative, so sometimes the lectures will just give me their course textbooks without collecting any money, and by then i was assisting they to distribute the textbooks to students and collect the money on their behalf as weel. So i also gained from there but i will still buy other related textbooks from the market to make up with the ones in the school.
Then during my Industrial attachment, i got married and my husband took care of my fees at the Higher National Diploma level. So, i didn't worry about my fees at all my own was just to read and study.

The Abia State Polytechnic, Aba was established by Edit No. 8 of 1994, which has a retrospective effect from 2nd October, 1992. Its location is the former Girls' Technical College (GTC) Aba, along Aba Owerri Road. The initial intake comprised students taking various Certificate Programmes. The National Diploma Programmes commenced in the 1994/1995 academic year. The Higher National Diploma Programmes were introduced in the 1999/2000 session.
