The diary game // 2nd February, 2021// A very stressful day (post 100% power up)

Hello Diary, it's day two into this month. As usual, I woke up early to get things set so we would make school and work on time. Since I was gifted bread by my brother, I only had to cook rice and beans for lunch. Thank God I still had stew from Sunday.

At work, general prayers took the morning. I immediately started the job I had on hand and completed it before my boss arrived. On handing it over to him, he felt the computation was too lengthy but honestly, I do not know any other way to go about it if I have to show all working. He finally decided I type it. Well, I will do that tomorrow because I have many other things to do.

Firstly, I had to sort out names of staff to update their personal records. It was tasking because it was a semi-manual process. I got the names of those who did not have their details from the system and had to sort through folders and write out the names of those who had earlier submitted their details but had problems with updating/uploading it.

I had earlier given my boss those documents but he couldn't remember where he filed them, so I had no option than to do it the hard way.

While I was still on it, my senior colleague informed me to come for a mini- training which I went for. It involved the use of our payroll software. By this time it was already noon.
I ate my rice and beans lunch and started the training. At the beginning, it was an interesting lesson but soon, information and data to process became too much to assimilate.

I went and got chewing gum to remove sleep from my eyes and help me concentrate. Luckily for me, she was called to work on something else. I had to go back to my sorting job.
Before I knew it, it was closing time. I was getting ready to run home and at least take a nap when my boss informed us that we would stay extra hours again to tidy up an urgent job.

On the one hand, I was glad I was not the one doing the job since I could barely set my eyes on the computer screen. On the other hand, the staff of my unit all had to wait till the job was done.

Some two hours plus later, I reached home. I had to guide my son do his take home assignment. Before I could get one or two things done in the kitchen, this little chap had finished the assignment and even marked it by himself. The very long flashes he gave himself made me laugh hard relieving some of the stress I was under.

I thereafter made dinner but could not eat because it was a heavy meal (Eba). I ate the leftover salad from lunch and avocado.
