No nonsense

The Nonsense Writing Contest will run for 10 days.
Starting date is Thursday 2 January the end date is Sunday 12 January and it is hosted by @rycharde.

The contest is something creative and I like creative people. They make more sense to me than the dull and boring ones. The group most people belong to. As I read the title I immediately thought about @improv. Perhaps this contest is a great one for him to join.

I wonder what the sense of a nonsense contest is.
Most things I read or hear do not make any sense to me. If it doesn't make sense it is nonsense.
How come this contest is associated with children's books? These books make sense to me. Each one of them I read. Only if you have a lack of fantasy, brains and are a dead, dull person you might think it is nonsense.

One of my favourite books was "Peppie het poesje".
It was a series of children books about a little black tomcat living in Catcity and its mom was a great cook. She made fish cookies. @sacra97 you should try to make them this year. A hedgehog became his best friend and loved to stay at Peppie's place because of the great, free food. That all sounds very realistic to me. Friendships are based on what you can get from the other, your own profit, so a good life lesson.

Another book (for older kids) was "About two talking cats".
A sick girl teaches her cats how to speak since they were her only company anyway. That worked. The girl had plenty of time and the cats were willing to learn.

Tomi Ungerer's children's books make sense too.
"No kiss for mother" for example. Another tomcat, a grumpy one who does not like his mom hugging, kissing him, treating him as a baby and above all kissing him! 😫
I mean be honest why on earth does a mother behave that way, loves to do that? I always avoided getting near my mother. Better safe as sorry.

"Little red riding hood" written by Tomi is a favourite of mine.
Finally, we hear the truth. It is the wolf who enlightens the red riding hood otherwise she would still drag a basket with wine and cookies over to her granny (sick people eating cookies and drinking wine? Sending a little girl into the woods? Why did that mom not go by herself?). At least this story had a happy end. The wolf and little red riding hood got married and granny finally learned to take care of herself. No little girl bringing her over a pig's head from now on she had to buy them herself or slaughter her own pig.

"The slimy book" written by Babette Cole is a great and educative one too.
Reading them is fun time and yes, I still have it.

My aunt sneaked into our bedrooms on the rare occasions she visited us and told a story about the three little pigs. It was always good enough to fall asleep. It it would have been nonsense I would have nagged her with all kinds of questions.

There are many books I like, comics too but if there really is one favourite? No, I don't think so or perhaps it is "Who shit on my head?" (English title: Someone just pooped on my head? A title that makes less sense as ours) it is very educative.
