As the dust settles from a whirlwind week and “all good things come to an end,” it is the perfect time to pause and reflect. It is only by doing this that we can grow.
No matter what you do or where you are in life, reflecting plays a crucial role in understanding how we can navigate challenges and how we can improve our approach to what the future might bring.
It's time for me to reflect on the past week.

Steem For Ladies
Steemit Engagement Season 19 is done and dusted.
These challenges are exciting, but they also take a lot of work from the community side.
Thank you to all those Steemians who supported the community during the six weeks, and thank you to the Steem For Ladies team!
3,000 Subscribers! Yes we did it in just over 1,5 years.
My duties:
- Curation and verification of posts on my day of duty as well as filling in on the days of others
- Educating and monitoring 7 moderators
- Validating MOD verifications
- Verifying new members
- Booming posts submissions and community voting
- Taking care of community notifications and comments
- Writing of 4 community posts
- Monitoring and running of community contests
- Lending a helping hand to members of the community
- Approval of moderator contests
General
A helping hand was lent to seven Steemians on WhatsApp and Discord, and various others via the platform.
▸Africa:
My main focus is still on Africa.
Advice was given to two Steemians from Africa via WhatsApp.
▸Curator:
Assistance was given to one curator.
▸Curating team:
Assistance was given to one curating team.
Issues encountered:
With Season 19 of the Steemit Engagement Challenge, I would like to share the issues we’ve encountered.
• Limited participation: There is only a small group of Steemians who are actively participating in the engagement aspect of this challenge. This clearly reduces the effectiveness of the intention of these engagement challenges.
• Resistance to change: We all get so used to doing things in a certain manner that it might be one of the reasons why we see a lack of change in posts and engagement. To change, it also takes time.
• Uniqueness: Steemians would rather answer sets of questions than think for themselves and be unique, which results in seeing the same type of posts over and over again.
• Rules and regulations: Steemians don’t follow the rules of a contest, and that is a major problem when it comes to choosing winners.
I am looking forward to seeing what Season 20 has in store for us.

Very well presented problems mam. I have also seen these issues among users. Many users have become accustomed to the question answer phase. Due to which users participate less in narrative contests. We should encourage users to express their creativity in articles by using their own thinking.
