Nigeria CR weekly report by @focusnow for the week which ended on 26/9/2021.
Introduction
How time flies. Hello Steem POD team and everyone working hard to keep the platform alive. Welcome to my report for the week that just ended. I worked hard as usual and its time to make a report of all the things I did within the week. Thank you the Steemit team for this opportunity. Here are my activities for the week.
1. Aba Steem Road Show Day 7 and 8 - a total of 20 Recruits
Day 7 - a total of 6 persons signed up
Since I started the Steem Road Show project, it has produced tremendous results. It is probably the most effective way to create awareness for Steem, of all the methods we have tried. Every Tuesday and Friday we hit the Road to do the Steem Road Show. Unfortunately we could not go on Tuesday due to heavy downpour. So I shifted it to Thursday. So the day 7 happened on Thursday. We went to the ever busy St. Michaels Road by Asa Road. We spoke to a lot of people and they were interested. The entire team signed up 6 new users. I have made a detailed report of the activity for the day. Check it below:
Day 7 (Thursday 23/9/2021) of the Aba Steem Road was really a great success. 6 Newbies signed up
Day 8 - Rains again. 14 persons Signed up
For the day 8, the weather was bad again. It was so dark when we gathered at the center. So we decided to beat the rain by rushing out to get to the venue. This time we went to Bata Junction, its always a busy place. The rain really disturbed as we barely had up to 1 hour to do the show. But happily, when the rain started, it created an audience we were able to have a large crowd waiting out the rain. We spoke to them. Here is a detailed report about it.
Day 8 (Friday 24/9/2021) of the Aba Steem Road was very memorable. 14 Newbies signed up
2. Another Promotion on Nairaland
The last ad i ran on Nairaland was very successful. So I decided to do another one last week and it went really well. The one I did this week up to 16 persons joined the class and some signed up afterwards. I was also able to help some to write their achievement 1 post. Here is the Whatsapp group where the class was done.

Some of them made mistakes in their introduction post and some did well. Am still working with the group to put them through.
3. Launching Talking Point
I launched a project designed to increase the engagement level in SteemALive community. I called it Talking Point. So every Saturday, we choose a blockchain topic or comtemporary issues and invite our members to discuss it in a post using the comment section. This helps some inactive or less active members to have something interactive and fun to do, while engaging with others. When we finish up the talk in Discord, we use the opportunity to encourage more activity by the users. It will help to reactivate inactive members.

4. Rebranding LID to reward Promoters more
LID has been one of our longest running projects where participants report live on scene. While we enjoyed it, I decided to rebrand it. This is because I have been thinking of more ways to reward our promoters more. They are working so hard. So instead of reporting random things, promoters will now update us about how their promotional activity is going. In this way, they bring in valuable promotion reports and get rewarded up to 3.5 steem weekly. More details below

5. Ongoing Mentorship
I do not get tired of taking calls, chats and SMS from the numerous people we bring in. There will always be someone that wants some questions answered. Together with the Admin, we run the Aba center everyday except on Sundays. Its really tasking but that is what I have signed up to do
Work for the current Week/Conclusion
The week has already been planned out and activities are lined up. So here are a few things I would be doing
- Tuesday 28/9/2021: Steem Road Show day 9
- Wednesday 29/9/2021: Nairaland sponsored add and mentorship in the evening for those that join the class
- Friday 1/10/2021: Steem Road Show day 10
- Saturday 2/10/2021: Physical training at the office
