Steem Representative Weekly report #11 from [1st -7th July, 2024]
Steem greetings @everyone, and welcome to my blog as I present my 11th report as the Steem Representative.
It was yet another busy week on my part with lots of personal commitments to meet up with and also stay committed online on Steemit. These were not without some hitches though were overcome.
That said, below I will be talking about the different activities carried out across the platform.
Steemit Promotion.
Each week I always ensure to promote Steemit to new users either online or on a face-to-face basis. For this week, I reached out to some friends online who requested I show them what to occupy them during this summer holidays.
Literally, I do not just go ahead to create accounts for new users I'm sure that will be a waste of time as they will remain dormant. I talked to them about Steemit and asked them to first do their research about Steemit. If after their research are interested in joining the platform, I assist them in creating an account and I guide them through.
Activities in Steem Cameroon Community.
It is a routine that every week we meet online and discuss how to better manage the community. For this week, we had a discussion about @bongk for misusing the club status tag. This user has a history of a series of power downs. Each time when he returned, he stayed committed for some months, gathering rewards and power down. He returned to the platform 2 weeks ago after his last power-down and wrote a post without using any club status tag because he is pretty aware of the rules.
After a few days, he powered up about 2 steem and started using the club5050 tag. Later on, in the steem entrepreneur community he had an old label of club75 and he dropped a post there and used club75 after being inactive after his last power down for months and returned a few days later and started using club75. The post received a booming vote submitted by the steementrepreneur. This gave him the power to start using the club75 tag. After being warned to stop misusing the tag, he challenged the admin of steem-cameroon that he will continue using the tag. I will call @harferri, and @f2i5 to always review and change old labels so users do not misuse the club status tags following old labels.
As a plagiarism leader and actively fighting all forms of abuse on the community, I had to ensure that content creators create quality content free from any form of abuse on steemit. During this period, no plagiarized content was recorded. We hope steemians continues to create plagiarized free content and proper use of non-copyrighted images.
I followed up with the new users online to stay active but many complained of other offline commitments that keep them busy away from Steemit. Some of them promise to be back active again.
Contest.
To keep users busy and create original content, I organise a weekly contest in which users are tasked to share their thoughts “Along the Way of Life: Life Experiences”. The price for the contest was 15 SP and for outstanding content, a booming vote to encourage them.
Content Creation.
In the absence of the engagement challenge within this period, I was able to create a total of 6 articles. Two of which were the contest post and weekly report of the team 2 community curators.
Curation with SC04 Account.
My curation days were on 1st, 4th and 7th July, 2024 as I used the account to support content creators across several communities.
I equally created the Google sheet and ensured that the data was inputted correctly for the weekly reports. Each week after the reports, I clear off the old data for the sheet to be used the next week.
I followed the curation guidelines of the team 2 curation team but not limited to the guidelines to reach out to as many users as possible. I checked for plagiarism-free content, supported users not using bot buying services and those following either club5050, club75 or Club100.
The table below is a summary of the number of articles curated by me with the Steemcurator04 account.
I was charged with the first week of the healing report by team 02 for July. I followed the data on the google sheet to present the stats for the weekly curation.
Support Other Content Creators with @chant Account.
I used my effective Steem power of over 49k to support steemians with quality content on the platform.

Preference was given to authors using the tag burnsteem25. I equally supported other articles across the platform. Over the week, I reached out to 102 accounts and upvoted 169 posts with a CSI score of 14.0.
At this juncture, I have come to the end of my presentation of my weekly activities and hopefully will do better each week.
We are very open to other positive input and regret the user who opposes the community administrator for the positive warning he received... Thank you, my sister @chant, we will review this user again..
Currently we label users based on "cotify" searches in Telegram following standard rules... Many users circumvent club status, and it is an issue regarding the validity of club status... we take all feedback seriously.
Thank you, friend!
I'm @steem.history, who is steem witness.

The weight is reduced because of the lack of Voting Power. If you vote for me as a witness, you can get my little vote.
Upvoted. Thank You for sending some of your rewards to @null. It will make Steem stronger.
I'm sorry if it seems like I was challenging the admin about my club status but it is justified because I made some posts
These posts prove that I was active though still battling with exam stress I couldn't continue posting, the rewards gotten from these posts, coupled with the rewards I got for my comeback post were powered up and when I checked for club status it showed that I am in #club75.
For powering down, though the reasons are very personal I always make them known to the community, it's rather unfortunate that I find myself in complicated situations as a student. I apologize for raising commotion by defending myself... I hope this comment clears the air.

@bongk, I understand your reason for insisting on the result given to you by the application above. Numbers don't lie, I see #club75.
#club75 is calculated in 60 days. True, that will put you at #club75. The point here is that you were not on the platform during the first 30 days of your calculation.
So I will calculate your club from when you became active on the platform and powered up. Remember you have a series of power down which the community is not very comfortable with.
I'm not questioning how you manage your account, but give yourself some credit and respect the right club status for now. I have been so friendly so far as of now.
Ok sir I understand I'll stop using the club75 tag thanks
Use steemworld.org to check your transfers and power-ups and you are club5050 and not club75. You did not power up any Steem last month. Stop using the flaws of this app to your advantage. You are club5050 and not club75. If you misuse the tag again, in steem-cameroon, we will mute your post.
Hi friend!
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I just want to clarify one thing. The tool you are referring to is actually the most correct one. What it does is take the date the user joined the account into consideration. If someone joins on January 1, 2024, their club status will be taken into account as of that date. This is how it should actually be.
However, this is not how we were told to check club status. We take the date of the search through Steemworld into account. As for today, it will be June 11, 2024, to July 11, 2024, which clearly shows that the user you are referring to is in Club5050.
We stick to they way we were told. (•ิ‿•ิ)
Lastly, I am going to call on you on Discord regarding a program we are launching.
Understood ma'am
The community is to support everyone and remember the community curating account held by Steem delegated and owned by other steemians.
@bongk, actions on the platform call for a review of how authors will be supported in the community. What would the community look like if everyone was taking the direction he is taking?
Accumulate, power down, take a three-month break, power up ~2 steem, claim #club75, #club5050, and #club100
