Today we will talk about: Succulent Reproduction Methods 🌱✨

Many of us may have asked ourselves several questions: How can we reproduce these types of plants? Will it be the same as the Ornamentals? How can I do? 🤔 Before all these questions, we will show you an excellent material so that you can put it into practice and thus expand your nursery.

There are several methods of reproduction but today we will detail those that have given us results and in this way we will make our testimony manifest, as we have always said here, we only publish exclusive content and what we have experienced in our plants.

Succulents Reproduction Method:

🌱By cuttings: This is one of the most popular today since it is only about collecting leaves of the plants and starting to build your seedbed, the first thing you should know is that the cuttings (leaves) that you can take to start propagating They are the lowest of the stem of the plant, we stretch from side and side and back to detach the leaf from the stem, trying to avoid any fracture of both parts since by the minimum tear of the cutting it would lose its reproductive role.

Once detached we let it dry for a couple of days before placing it in a special substrate for cacti, if you want to sow the cuttings, we prefer to place them on the substrate and nature takes care of the rest.

Irrigation 💦It is advisable to spray them once a week and place them in semi-shade to avoid burns.

🌱By Stems or Decapitated: Undoubtedly one of the methods where we obtain faster results since only what we do in a clean cut in the stem of the plant in the following way, We need a scalpel, knife, scissors or any object that be sharp to cut our stem with a separation of approximately 10 to 12 cm from the leaves of the plant remember to disinfect the work tool with alcohol or fire beforehand.

Once cut we can place a little cinnamon powder in both cuts to avoid any infection and let it dry for a couple of days before replanting our plant, after you sow it you wait a couple more days before watering and when After 21 days, new roots should already be growing to allow it to become fixed in the substrate.

🌱By Children or Separation: We do not like to apply this type of method very much since we plant well-grown plants ready to start their new path, what we must do is separate the children from our mother plant and sow them directly in the ground (Substrate) without Problem, this method applies perfectly to all types of cactaceous plants, its watering can be twice a week or as usual you did it with its mother plant.
