Happy Birthday to Liza Minelli

Liza as you may know is an American actress, singer, and dancer who was born on March 12, 1946, in Los Angeles, California - she is celebrating her 77th birthday today. She is the daughter of actress and singer Judy Garland and director Vincente Minnelli.

Liza began her career in the 1960s as a nightclub performer and made her Broadway debut in 1965 in the musical "Flora the Red Menace," for which she won a Tony Award. She went on to star in several successful Broadway shows, including "The Act" and "Chicago." She is also known for her work in film, including her Academy Award-winning role in the 1972 musical drama "Cabaret." She also appeared in numerous other films, including "Arthur," "New York, New York," and "Stepping Out."

In addition to her acting and singing career, Minnelli has also been involved in humanitarian work, including serving as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF.She has been married and divorced no less than four times, but has no children. She has struggled with substance abuse and health issues throughout her life and recently was confined to a wheelchair. She is nonetheless a loved figure in the entertainment world and is considered a legend for everything that she has done and achieved.
