The touristic place i shall talk about is the Limbe Botanic Garden. It is located in the South West Region of Cameroon (w3w).
Accessing from my point of residence, the city of Buea (w3w), it would cost me over 2,000 FCFA (~14.5 STEEM) for transportation to Limbe (w3w).
However, if a tourist from out of the country wishes to visit this garden, he/she would have to leave from the Douala International Airport (w3w) or the Yaoundé Airport (w3w) to the city of Limbe, at a transportation cost of approximately 4,000 FCFA (~29.0 STEEM) and 9,000 FCFA (~130.4 STEEM) respectively. These costs should be able to get you to the touristic site.
It is not a place with complicated descriptions in such a manner that you might miss your way. Besides, it is quite a popular place and cherished by many families and friends, as well as tourists.

The Limbe Botanic Garden does not really cost much, i'd like to think of it as cost free. There is however a small entry fee of 300 FCFA (~4.3 STEEM), and it gets even cheaper when in groups (preferably family).
It is a garden with so many beautiful areas good enough for picnics and group exercises.

The garden is so wonderful and a site to behold. My little niece and nephews would always pressurize me to take them to this garden. They have just 2 favorite touristic sites whenever we are in the city of Limbe, and i love to make them happy always. Whenever we go visit the Limbe Botonic Garden, they would always play even on days that we chose to go on a picnic. They like a spot in the garden called the Jungle village.

This area is quite peaceful and looks quite like an arena. The would always climb the arena stairs and demand that i take some photos of them. I am always the photographer each time we visit this touristic place.
What made you interested in visiting this place? |

I believe that the first thing that calls to me, about this touristic place is the enormous garden space with beautiful flowers and trees. My little niece and nephews would always take photos around these beautiful areas, else their day is not completed.
I also like the very affordable entry price and the fact that this touristic place is made in such a way that even the poorest of citizens can have access to it. I have witnessed a case wherein a family had no money to proceed, yet the gatekeeper gave them a family pass and they all proceeded into the beautiful garden. It is not thought of as a place to make some money, rather it is made available to give us a satisfying view. I guess the small entry fee is to regulate the rate at which people come and go, and to place a value on the garden.
I also like how there is a clean river that flows just along the west end of the garden. So in a way, there is also a water body that flows along even though it is prohibited to enter the water stream. I guess this rule is set in place to maintain its clean nature.

Oh yes! In fact, i go there every time i visit the city of Limbe. I have 2 places i visit always, one is this beautiful garden, and the other is the Victoria beach. I love the beauty of the garden, and the cool breeze that blows. I also like the aspect of a low cost of entry, and a discount on family visitation. My little niece and nephews adore this place and forget completely about food or drink once we gain entry, and trust me when i say this baffles me because they do not play around when it comes to having their meals 😂. The place is very secure for all, and has no form of racial practices as we sometimes see divest races and beliefs visiting this lovely garden with family and friends.

You need not gather a large amount of budget for this purpose because your expenses would solely be on transportation, depending on your location.
The Limbe Botanic Garden is a perfect and peaceful spot for picnics.
The opening hours are 9am until 5pm.
A very good place for your family and love ones to play and have a great time, making good memories.

Hello my friend, swimming in the river is prohibited because some citizens mess it up each time they are permitted to swim. As a means of maintaining the cleanliness of the river, no one is permitted to swim our dump refuge in the water.
The garden is taken care of my a cluster of workers daily, it is a historic place and is looked after with so much care.

You can say that again and again! My little niece and nephews always get sad if i do not take them to the garden whenever we are in the town of Limbe. Once we get into the garden, they forget that i am their uncle 😂, too much excitement such that i end up chasing after them.

Nice write up .I have once been there in the limbe Botanic Garden .The place is very conducive and prices are very affordable like you say .They make sure even the rich nor the poor can visit the area .This is one of the places inCameroon I will recommend foreigners who comes for sightseeing should visit the limbe Bontanic Garden have fun and leisure with the beautiful spicies of flowers and other beautiful plant surrounded around .
I feel so bad that i was not able to take more photos on my present phone. The phone which had more photos got bad and i didn't back up the images, else i would have inserted more beautiful photos of all the plants, over 50 years old and above.

The biodiversity of the garden is approximated at 1,500 taxa, comprising of over 500 woody trees (made up of timber, non-timber and ornamental) and about 1,000 herbaceous. It also has 30,000 herbarium specimen with more than 13,000 ecological specimen of about 32 different types, over 700 genera, 1400 species of which 46 are endemic, with about 260 plant families.
It is a real home for plant diversity!

You can say that again and again. It is so peaceful and refreshing especially since the beach is not too far from its location. Most a times i leave the beach to the garden, and vise versa. For me and my little ones, one can not go on without the other 😂.
