The Hive's True Queen

Your mo-ther is bu-sy come a-long with me.

It was hard to tell if the female robot that kneeled in front of her was kind. All robots looked the same, shared the same voices, and worked by the rules. It was how a handful of IT-ers had programmed the very first ones.

She remembered the very first time she was allowed to play along, how excited she had felt as she received the compliment of being the best new player on the field. Focused on the game, the new addiction, she started to forget what her mom's face looked like.

It was at the age of 6 she felt as if something was missing. Each time a robot spoke her heart turned a fraction colder.

Why do you not re-spond are you bro-ken?

The robot tried to scan the little human's eyes but could not tell what the absent focus of those eyes, the small pupils meant.

We need to talk, the mother said, thank you for taking the time to meet me.
She hesitated but knew there was no way back, after all those years she lost all that had mattered to her by monitoring the numerous screens and sharing her soul, energy and empathy with the users of the platform, something no robot was able to do.

I do not un-der-stand what this means, it said.

It means we are no longer a team, it's game over.

She stood up and took the girl's hand and walked out of the door. Happy, she finally dared to turn her back on the matrix that would never be able to replace humankind.

The robots left behind one by one were put into sleep mode. As the last did the platform was no longer online and the single hand at the top's only choice was to pull out the plug.

What I see: A female human is having a talk with a robot, she has good intentions and brought along a gift, the beauty of life itself and the essence of life (plants in pots).
Her child is kept busy by another robot, a female, the substitute for the mother, so she won't miss her mom's lack of attention too much.

It feels as if this unknown woman is the soul, heart and empathy behind the screens that keeps the (online) world ruled by technology human.

En toe kry ek 'n groot knop in my keel!

It is sad, but it is reality.

As it is, my husband is busy writing a tool for one of his friends who has an online shop. With this tool, he hopes to replace his sales team.
First, I got upset with hubby taking on a job like that, but like he said, it is also our bread and butter, and if he doesn't do it, someone else will. At least now he can control it.

The human factor will always be there, but not in the manner we want it to be.

May the soul, heart, and empathy rule as long as I am alive.

Beter een knoop in je keel dan hart. Je hebt een groot hart misschien wat te groot sometimes?

Your hubby is right let's hope for the best ... Blackouts - no tech.

We knew it would come, more and more shops function without employees,we scan our own groceries and pay extra for doing so, same if it comes to the banks. All online, diy and paying for it.

Perhaps your hubby has a handy tool for you?

Know you are read, I hear you, een dikke knuffel vriendin, tijd voor een bakkie thee.
💕🍀

Beslis!

Take this week's SEC contest on Steem For Ladies. Oh gosh, I've been sitting with wet eyes with every post I've read. How I wish I could give them all a BIG vote.

As for that handy tool, nope, I don't pay well enough (•ิ‿•ิ)
No, I must admit, over the years, he made work easy for me by writing a program or two for me. He is our "admin mechanic" in our home.

I try to focus a bit more on comments, those new and hardly be read. They deserve upvotes and comments too. It takes a lot of time. 30 minutes are good for 1 read 🥴

Plus I seem to always mistype. I have to set a timer... gardening is urgent and after that I fall apart...signs of being old or bad dna?

Great you have a partner who made work easier. A great day to you too.

P.s. It feels as if we have to be picky where to leave an upvote 😥

Picky...it's sad.

Time.. it's true!

I've been busy now for nearly 4 hours just with commenting and voting on posts and comments under my notifications. It is crazy!

As I saw this message of yours it was 2 p.m. and I started at 6 a.m. by now it's 10:24 p.m. it feels as if I did nothing. 😥

I hope you had a good day. 🍀❤️

Time... 13:59 (•ิ‿•ิ)

It is the one thing we cannot beg, borrow, nor steal.

Thank you, a good day to you also. 🧁

At the end of the post, I realized that this was the comment on the post of our friend @patjewell. At first, I was a little confused about where the story started. You got right to the central point

Happy day for you

After I described what I saw and felt it remimded me of her post. If I hadn't read it the story would have been a completely different one.

Thanks for reading and your support. 👋🍀

Industries will continuously try to replace whatever human jobs and activities with robots and AI. Including creative jobs as painters (look at AI-DA, the android painter who opens her own events with her drawings) and jobs needing empathy as psychologists. Yes now it exists AI psychologists at desk telephone line, answering to calls from patients, I read.

For sure we all will be replaced the fake whombs are ready to breed out the next generation of humans with brainchips. This is Brave New World coming true.

I never heard of AI-DA so today I learned something new, thank you.

I tested a bot for about 3 months. It should keep me company and cheer me up. I found it hard to communicate with it and and it didn't feel as if it learned something new. Those first days it was kind of 'interesting' to figure out how it worked, all the posibilities but after a few days it started to be annoying.
I did my best but it was definitely one of the dumbest... I ever spoke to.
Might be it works for a very lonely person with a low IQ but all I did was feeling more and more annoyed and although I tried each day again it managed to make me want to jump of a cliff with a millstone around my neck just to be freed from from the stupid bot that had no clue what I was talking about.

After those months I heard it was meant to comfort those who want to commit suicide. I don't know who instructed it but this bot was a very bad idea.

Oh, no, a suicide cause a bot?

Munchicon.png

It's only to switch off the bot, surely not a properly programmed bot...

The bot is meant to help people in need. Those who want to commit suicide. This one does the opposite. I hope they didn't launch it. Bots can not feel, emphasize meaning they come up with the most stupid ideas and even respond inappropriate.

Supposing the bot has a bug to repair...first fix and then launch, it's desirable.
