Ikaro
His cold, piercing eyes have an eerie glow in the darkness, and his breath freezes in the air like ice, like winter itself. According to legend, Icarus was an ancient warrior who was condemned by the gods for his arrogance and cruelty. As punishment, he was turned into this hideous creature and sentenced to wander the mountains forever in search of lost souls that feed on fear and despair. The small town of Black Peaks knew this story all too well, but most people thought it was just a tale to scare children.
However, during one particularly harsh winter, people started to disappear. First, there was a shepherd who went on too many adventures to find his sheep. Then there were some hunters, and finally some children who even dared to play near the forest. One night, when the snowstorm was at its worst, a group of brave people decided to go out to find answers.
They enter the forest with torches and machetes, following strange footprints they found near the last place where one of the children disappeared. It was snowing so hard that they could barely see a few meters ahead. Suddenly, a sharp scream broke the silence. One of the men disappeared into the darkness without a trace. Panic began to invade them, but they continued on, determined to find the source of this evil. At last they came to a cave hidden among the trees.
The entrance was covered with bones and dead animals, and a foul smell emanated from inside. They lit torches and entered, beating each other up to the neck. The cave was like a labyrinth of frozen tunnels and the air grew colder with every step. I found a large, shadowed room below. There they saw Ikaro crouching in the shadows over a pile of corpses.
His eyes gleamed with malice as he glared at the intruder. Ikaro charged forward, letting out a roar that made the men's blood run cold. The battle was fierce and desperate. A torch fell, illuminating the monster's shining scales for a moment before it disappeared into the snow. One by one, the men fell, their screams of terror echoing throughout the cave. In the end, only one person managed to escape despite being wounded and half frozen.
He ran back to the village, the creature hot on his heels. Just as Ikaro tried to catch him, the man tripped and fell, praying for his life. But at the last moment, the morning light began to break through the clouds, and the creature backed away, letting out an irritated growl and disappearing into the trees. Since that day, the inhabitants of Black Peaks have learned that the legend of Icarus is more than just a story.
The creature was still there, waiting in the shadows of the snowy mountains, hunting down any who dared challenge its territory. And when the snow began to fall each winter, they anxiously remembered the warnings of their ancestors and avoided at all costs venturing beyond the safe confines of their cities.
