Yesterday my colleagues and I again conducted a survey for the plan to build a second house for the poor. Seeing the many positive responses from residents and several donors, the village officials concluded to continue the construction of the second house renovation, and I was again trusted to conduct a survey and directly verify the house to be renovated, my team and I immediately made a visit to the house to be renovated, the purpose of the survey was so that we can calculate the cost requirements that will be used, we check the condition of the damaged house and calculate the material requirements needed for the implementation of the renovation construction, it is necessary to have a special calculation that is in accordance with technical analysis, so that later it will produce a good quality building, and because the cost of house renovation is very limited, it is necessary to do an accurate calculation of money to suit the needs and damage to the house.

For the condition of this second house a lot of damage, even some of the roof and walls are missing, it may cost more than what was planned for the first house. Each house has a different type of damage and the type of material used is different, therefore every house to be renovated needs to be recalculated for material needs and costs.

Through the community self-help program, and the second house renovation plan to be carried out by local village officials, we as volunteers who work voluntarily really hope for support from all parties so that this program runs smoothly, and hopefully the house renovation program for the poor is the result of community self-help. This can continue to be carried out until it is able to build (renovate) many houses for the poor, considering that currently there are still very many houses that are unfit for habitation.
