Dear Diary,

Today was a blissful Wednesday where I found solace in the gentle art of petty sewing, there was something undeniably pacifying laying my hands on those cut and kept scrap fabrics from my collection and transforming them into something beautiful was my wildest excitement as I was fortunate to have a little free time this few days holiday from my usual busy schedule.

Woken up with so many wrong thoughts sent me to a state of melancholy but I retreated to a lonely corner in my room, took my Holy Bible and began to read few portions , meditated.I felt a sense of liberation casting about my sorrows and enraptured my soul to a state elation,my emotion was back on the track. Along the line I remembered pieces of scrap cutting cloths I have laid up for months, it's time for me to repair the torn ones and embellish the cutting plain garments.

I hurriedly rounded up the chores, took morning meal and headed up to my cousin's tailoring shop I'm partnering with, I usually go there during weekends to do some petty sewing for my self and family.Mind you I'm not a pro, I learned sewing for pleasure for art and creativity

As I reached the shop, I sat on the sewing machine and began to seam, I was happy as I felt fulfilled to clear up those scrap of cloths piled up, even though I couldn't finish everything.During the moment, I realised that sewing wasn't merely a mundane tasks, it was a form of therapy in my leisure time to while away dull moment and find peace within, the art of aligning threads, seams and creating neat stitches became a comparison for finding a harmony and balance in life.

Engrossed in my work time seemed to slip away effortlessly, the sun had begun to set casting a warm hues, it was almost 4pm. I stood up to look for what to take for brunch, I remembered roasted sardine fish in the neighbourhood, intended to sip garri (dried cassava flake) with it, I really used to enjoy this combo, I went there to buy, came back to the shop, sat down on the mat and enjoyed my well pepper sauced fish with soaked garri.

As I returned back to complete everything I sewn for the day, those coasters were taken shape as I added the final touches, I marveled at the transformation of the cloth scraps, tear places turn into something useable and beautiful. The feelings of accomplishment and satisfaction I had was immeasurable, I have some cloths to change on.

As the day drew close, around 5: 30 pm, I cleaned up the sewing area, putting away my tools, I went back home, sitting and enjoyed my swallowing food, Foofoo and yummy Atama soup, showered and relaxed a while,that relaxation took me to a nap till I woke to write ..

In conclusion, today's Wednesday diary was a delightsome and rejuvenated experience after spending the day indulged in craft and creativity using my own hands, I feel fulfilled to involve in this leisurely activity.

As I close this diary entry, I look forward to more moments of voluntary petty sewing in the future knowing that it will always bring me happiness and fulfilment.
