It's another day of the week and I'm delighted to participate in this contest today organized by @damithudaya which talks about Weekly Reflections #14: Gratitude Journal. I will be making my entry below so read through it and drop your valuable comment as it will be appreciated.

Weekly Reflections #14: Gratitude Journal | My thoughts about gratitude are what I have titled this very contest today. Today I will give my opinion about the word gratitude. I'm sure everyone has his or her opinion as well. Since you are reading through my blog, you will be hearing my opinion.

What does gratitude mean to you and do you think it's important?

To me, the word gratitude means to be appreciative of something you are given no matter how small it may look. Gratitude means saying thank you for something you are given even if the value of that thing doesn't meet your standard. Your saying thank you means you appreciate the effort of the person who is doing or giving that thing to you.

So anytime you say thank you to someone for the little they have done for you or for the little they gave to you, it means you are showing gratitude to them. People do more when they are appreciated for the little they have done.

It is very important to show gratitude to people no matter what they may have given you. It may not mean anything to you but it may be their life savings that they use to purchase something for you. So if you don't show gratitude for such gestures, they may be broken completely because of that and they may never want to do more.

Showing gratitude fuels people to want to do more. They are happy that the little they did was appreciated which means if they do more they will be appreciated even more. So it is always very important to show gratitude to anyone who has done something for us no matter how little it may look.

What are the things you are most grateful for in your life right now?

There are many things which I'm most grateful for in my life right now and below I will be listing some of them.

• I'm grateful to God for the gift of life despite my unworthiness.

• I'm grateful to my family for taking care of me till this stage of my life. Their guidance and directions have made me who I am today.

• I'm grateful to the Steemit platform for allowing me to make my own money and also learn while making money. I have gained a lot of knowledge and I have also made some money which I used to solve some problems in my life via this platform.

• Lastly, I'm grateful to the organizer of this contest because I may not have the opportunity to express how grateful I am to my God, Parents and the Steemit platform.

How do these aspects contribute to your overall happiness and well-being?

These aspects contribute to my overall happiness and well-being in the sense that without them I wouldn't have been here today. Life couldn't have been this beautiful with them all playing a role in my life.

God has kept me safe and sound. My parents have always tried their best to guide me in the right direction. The Steemit platform has contributed to me positively. I have earned and learned from the platform.

Today, I can confidently construct an article which is as a result of the knowledge gained from this wonderful platform. I have some basic knowledge about crypto assets because of the knowledge I have also gained from the platform.

So with all I have said above you will agree with me that these things contribute to my well-being and and overall happiness.

A brief thank-you note to express your gratitude for something or someone in your life.

My appreciation today goes to the Steemit platform and the Steemit team. This is the very first social media platform that I have joined that pays me for writing and also I learn a lot by reading through other people's content and also from the reviews and corrections made by the different moderators on the platform.

I can confidently say I don't ask for anything from my parents any longer I thank the Steemit platform for the opportunity they gave me to earn via writing here on this platform. I wish the platform nothing but the very best. More growth I wish for the Steemit platform.
